Any other Eurofags into this shit show?

First semi-final was tonight, second is on the 12th of May, and the final is on the 14th.

I haven't watched an entire show since 2008, right before they implemented the semi finals, which are bullshit in my opinion
The semi finals have made it harder for those who take it less seriously to advance, which makes the show less entertaining.
 
I love Eurovision, the last few years my friend has a little get together and we all get drunk while watching it and take the piss out of the performers. my favourite song will always be Latvia's Wolves of the Sea or the dudes from Moldova with the really big hats

Yeah, I preferred the long shows, more entertaining acts, and you got a chance to get properly hammered. Although sometimes things can be funny when they take it seriously too, opera dracula for instance.

 
I watch it for the campness and the amount of fuck ups that happen. each song and band invariably has a gimmick which can be either impressive or really dumb. there's also the political voting, the weird country representatives and other ridiculous things.

like England's biggest shame, getting nil pwa due to a major gaff

this is just my fave performance ever, it was just so insane

The best thing about Eurovision is when the UK inevitably loses and Graham Norton on commentary just makes snarky passive aggressive remarks about how unfair and politically biased the show is.

I miss Sir Terry getting drunker and drunker as the show goes on and ranting about political voting. It's just not the same without him.

I love Eurovision, it's campy bullshit and terrible pop songs where you get drunk with your friends, yell at the TV because Europe has terrible taste in everything, and take nothing seriously. It is an absurd accident of history that it even exists.

Verka Seduchka is my absolute favorite entry ever because it's everything Eurovision should be: gay as fuck, completely absurd, and joyfully unserious. My partner and I literally screamed when she got in the cab in the skit on Tuesday.

I am sad Disco Leonard Cohen didn't make it to the finals, because it was hilarious and the staging was perfect.

With all due respect, if you did that I would take a shit in a bag and send it to you. Which would probably be nicer than Eurovision anyway.

Nah mate, the way the East votes in Eurovision the only shit they eat comes directly from the Slaviest Nation that ever Slavd, Mother Russia.
 
So Sweden is the only Nordic country that made it to the finals. Sweden is pretty much starting with 48 points. ESC Gothenburg 2017?
