I saw an image posted on CringeAnarchy a few days ago showing a user calling-out DayZ for how long the game has been in alpha that they listed out a set of things they did in the span of 4 years that the game has been in development for. This is uncannily similar to how YanSim has been in development for an equal amount of time now:
View attachment 424253 Just replace "DayZ" with "Yandere Simulator" and "Christmas trees for the holidays," with "Easter eggs for progress." I find it even more intriguing that the user also has "kiwi" in their username.
The only difference here is that while DayZ fans have practically given up on the development of the game, YanSim fans are still trucking along and continually kissing Devpai's ass for how much "progress" he's making to this day.

Edit: Also did anyone notice that today is officially the 2 year anniversary of this thread being created?
Yeah I remembered reading on that a while ago. Ever since I heard about it still being in Alpha for 4+ years, it just screamed "scam" to me. Steam should have some type of deadline for these things, but Steams quality control is so nonexistent I am surprised Alex never tried putting his game on there by now. He could do so easily.
Also I don't blame DayZ fans. Most I assume are young adults while yansim fans are edgy preteens who watch people play games more than they play games themselves. They obviously don't know better, and won't wise up even after 4 years.

This isn't kiwifarms. It was debunked when we found out a hundred pages or so mulberry was the one who designed these.
Oh. I guess she's just another generic colour character. :/

On another note, since YanSim is already four years old, I think Yanderedev should just change it to a college setting. All the characters will be adults and he could fufill all of his perverted dreams.

It makes sense that its set in High School, you can't really do a weeby animu school girl game set in University.

But then again, nothing about this game makes sense as it stands.

>implying YanDev has perverted dreams about adults and not teenage girls
You fool
Also no anime he likes is set in college so he can't steal ideas from it and thus can't make a story out of it

How about Super Sonico? It's pretty weebly to me, and it's about a university student too.

Actually, now that I think about it, Muja Kina and Sonico do share some similarities, with both characters being pink-haired, clumsy, and busty young women. Maybe YandereDev was 'inspired' by something like this too?

Alex did play that game on stream and once he promised to change clothes for the character, the fans told him not to think with his dick because he was slurping to the swimsuit.

Alex has been doing videos on the different video games that have inspired the development of Yandere Simulator. Out of all of them, the one I think the game has the most in common with is Natsuiro High School.

I actually own a copy of Natsuiro and it's one of the worst games I've ever played (that's saying a lot, my standards are pretty low). The game has many similarities, but the main differences are the male main character and the much more lighthearted tone. And the fact that the goal is to stealthily take panty shots of any girl wearing a skirt without being caught. It seems to have met its deadline (in 2015) prior to leaving its beta stage. The game screams rushed and incomplete. Characters (particularly the girls you take upskirt photos of) stand there and seem completely unaware of their surroundings. If you power slide into one and knock them over, then quickly run away and act like you weren't trying to do anything, they will quickly forget about you and return to their default position, making themselves no less easy prey for knickers pictures than before. I can't wallclip my way out of a paper bag and I've fallen through the ground (which led to me teleporting into the sky and falling back onto the ground) without even trying in Natsuiro. Even the somewhat maligned The Order 1886 offers a more polished and complete experience than Natsuiro does. The game, with all of its bugs and almost statue-like AI, was clearly unfinished. And it's not like D3 has any excuses related to inexperience in making good calls on what to greenlight- they've been around for decades and the volume of games they've put out is in the triple digits on the PS2 alone.

The punchline being, Natsuiro High School has been professionally released 3 years ago, making it officially much further along in its development than Yandere Simulator.

The demo will never come out since the pace is very slow.

Sonico works three jobs to make ends meet. She works harder than Alex does in a month.

I remember watching a stream of that game, and everyone hated it. It's as bare as Alex's resume.

So Yandere Simulator is a cheap knockoff of a shitty high-school game for the PS4, with the only additional feature being that you can stab people, and all of this needs a supercomputer to have a playable framerate?

Tell me again why this game has fans.

Pewdiepie and its 12 year old fanbase. Anything seems cool to them when a youtuber plays it.

Oh for fucks sake Alex, It's all your own fault that you can't manage your time. And as somebody who is (theoretically) working at home, it should much easier balancing your work and free time. Maybe stream less and you can watch at least four episodes a day, it's not that hard.

Weird how so many people are able to work full time jobs and also allocate several hours to working out and their hobbies...

Yandev must be working and working out alot if he doesn't have time for any hobbies. Very excited to see the next update. I hope there is more memes.

Reading emails can be stressful to the mind. /sneed

I would NEVER hire Alex if I worked at/were a higher up at a big video game company. Alex's work schedule is very laid back and he not only gets to use fans for voice acting, he gets to make them fight his legal battles (to get his game un-banned from Twitch.TV) and promote his work everywhere for free. No, better than free- they pay him for the privilege!

Do you think any developer from Activision Blizzard, Epic Games, Rockstar, CD Projekt Red, or Nintendo gets to:

Beg for sympathy on the Internet about how making games is HARD WORK!
Finish parts of a game (real progress, not just easter eggs or feature-itis filler) and go "I'm winded. Time to fire up the Switch"
Attend trade shows/conventions and say what he wants instead of acting presentable in interviews
Get fans to not only promote the game for him, but PLAYTEST the game for him (and pay for the privilege)
Constantly push back deadlines, break promises, and go "I just need more time/money/relaxation"
Get loads of goodwill off of a franchise they haven't even released the first game of

I'll answer that: nnnnnnnnNOOOOOO!!!!!!

Any fan who wants the game finished should threaten to pull funding right now. You will see Yandere Dev working a lot faster and get to determine what he's made of under crunch pressure (regular in big companies) instead of keeping it going on longer so he can keep getting funding while inflating the illusion of how difficult the game is to make. Maybe it'll make his Senpai publisher, Tiny Build do something about it. What has their role in this been?

I doubt any company would want to buy this game from Alex.
