In a way I feel sorry for the guy. Imagine if (:optimistic:) he gets better in the far, far future and actually tries to get a job.
I don't think anyone who's on a scum level like Alex and fails to see any flaws in himself as a person (it's always the others' fault, of course) cannot ever change. He's too far gone.
Everyone fucks up once in a while and everyone did some shit they'd rather not have people know about, especially as they grew older. That's human. Alex, however, doesn't hide his short-comings, but instead tries to phrase them in a way that blames anything that currently annoys him (emails, kiwifarms, "obnoxious" or "toxic" fans, you name it) which is some behaviour that ANYONE who has matured socially beyond high school should see through easily.

His fans are, for the most part, still in a rather impressionable age. They'll suck up to him and believe him because they don't have the necessary experience with people yet, for the most part, to see him as the lolcow he just is. There are exceptions as well as exceptional people who are his age and still suck up to him, of course. His act won't fly in an environment with actual adults that are, for the most part, not creepy weebs.

I've been following this thread since the start and i've never seen Alex act like a decent human being or show any sort of emphaty orguilt. His only goal in life is getting praised by internet strangers, i'm not going to feel sorry for him when he fails at that.

Don't forget banging high schoolers, ideally with big boobs. That's definitely one of his goals.

Does he still have that partnership with Tiny bot? I imagine once they get to know him and work with him they may regret that.

This guy seems to want to do everything himself, ignore constructive critique, and just take his fanboys praise as the final word. To really make something as big as the ambition hes set for his game it takes teamwork, cooperation, and social skills to interact and lead people. He will keep milking these high concept ideas and basic groundwork updates to get more youtube views and patreon support with no actual content being finished for a few more years until people's interest fizzles out. Kind of like Day Z but on a much smaller, sadder scale.

It's the very definition of scope creep in development, except I think it's completely intentional to fuel his lifestyle and not to reach a completion goal...

:autism:
TinyBuild* my bad. Found a video someone put together on it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox8EH8yXr7w

Exactly what people speculated would happen: Basic teamwork and collaboration issues, "having huge issues with the programmer he worked with", simple things like git merge conflict bitching, etc.

I know its late but man its hard to believe he still has such a huge following after this. Guess he does a good job keeping it all on the DL, and most of his fans are children, or blind fanboys.

Actually @zFlarex made the video and his channel got nuked for impersonation YandereDev.

I would also like to point out that nowadays anyone looking to hire you will Google you and look at your social media accounts. Guess what comes up when you look his name up...View attachment 428716

There are 4 Million Hits on the thread with his name plastered all over, IF Google wasn't able to place that pretty high in order of relevance; it'd fail as a search engine.

Just got a profile picture. It's one of my favorite video games, Pink Pong for the PS2, published by D3 the same publisher that published Natsuiro High School a decade later. This budget game is more of a complete game than YanSim is. Alex looks bad even when compared to competition that isn't the slightest bit stiff. And he isn't even being humble about it.

So no expose all reddit posts from Tiny Build on what it was like working with Alex? I can only imagine...
Someone in this thread a while back went to their booth (cant remember which con he was at) he asked about it and they said they hadn't heard from him in months, and when the kiwi made a joke making fun of Alex they laughed along, I also think another tinybuild dude came out saying Alex flipped out at him for fixing his spaghetti code because Alex didn't understand how to use it

I've never played Hello Neighbor, but it seriously looks so much like Yandere Simulator - models that don't fit well, bad physics, etc. There's also an abundance of pointless lore!

It makes me think that even if tinyBuild continued to help Alex, the game would STILL be shit.

Also, Headmaster Tape #10 is coming out before 3-9. All that bad coding must've stunted Alex's counting skills.

It'd be nice if the OP (or anyplace obvious to newcomers) had a list of links to posts like these that summarize or explain major events that have happened in Alex's career so newbies don't repeat history on this thread with the same old questions. As someone who's been watching Alex for years it gets old even though I can't really blame them for skimming such a massive thread.

Arekkusu is helping me with my future in a way! I want to be game designer, and seeing that he was lazy and would only settle for an associate's degree (among countless other things about him.) is helping motivate me to get as much education and knowledge in the field as possible, so that I could never be compared to him.
