The main reason why no one is bothering now is because TinyBuild already tried two years ago via partnership. If anyone was going to light a fire under Alex's ass and help him focus on what's actually important for the game's development, it was going to be the guys who helped churn out other ambitious, but overall niche, indie titles like Graveyard Keeper and ClusterTruck. Alex then quietly ditched them after a few complaints of their code being a pain to read (wow dat lack of self-reflection), which made it immediately clear to any other devs and studios watching that Alex is a pain to work with, who cares more about complete control and asspats than actually producing a finished, playable game.
Alex abandoning TinyBuild was the nail in the coffin for this game, what I don't get is that Alex says after the kickstarter he's going to get more devs to help fix the code/start from scratch. Starting from scratch almost defeats the purpose of all the videos he's doing now since the new code might not even have some of the features that he's showing off since he's using an archaic version of unity.
Plus when you have other Developers AND a backed kickstarter you're going to have deadlines which is pretty much foreign concept to Alex

Alex can say whatever shit he wants about the kickstarter because it'll never happen.

im not sure if this is even news or not, but he has "help-wanted" and "meme-help-wnted" channels now and you can probably guess what those stand for.

if it's low priority why ask for a complex model of some cyberpunk motorcycle copied from tron?

in his help-wanted channel he just asks for modelers and people who create control rigs though im putting screenshots just in case

edit: sorry im on mobile but here's the link to the docs if you want it, im just really bored out of my mind waiting for Alex to do something funny.

Alex is an artist's worst nightmare dear lord

I always found it rather irritating he has a full list of like 30 different expectations to make your work is "good enough"

And what does he offer in return for his numerous demands?

FUCK ALL you don't get shit for helping him not even exposure he's bad at crediting anyone that isn't Mullberry so you don't even get exposure

And nobody would ever put ANYTHING he asks of them in their portfolio if they wanna get hired.

The game is taking him so long that he needs to leach off of whatever is current year popular just to try to hold onto some form of relevancy.

It's exactly what you would expect from Alex.
For someone who has degrees related to animation his work couldn't be anymore lifeless and uninspired.

Eh, it's not a bad intro. It's clearly framed, short and to the point and there's no shit dialogue. If only the gratuitous amount of gore didn't make it so cheesy.

That mech model being justified by ‘it doesn’t need a walking animation’ isn’t going to offset the fact that it’d be huge comparative to other students and completely fuck up the pathfinding.

It’s also amusing to me that there’s a bipedal Robocop-type mech (can’t remember the name of the mech itself) in the giant pack of assets that unity provides to people to use completely free that comes with a complete set of animations and is roughly the proportions of a fat 6’ human. Retexturing or light retopologizing of that would take maybe an hour tops.

Speaking of artists worst nightmare, has he paid anyone who did the art for the merch? Shirts, body pillow, I think he has a poster etc. or did he just take their art to profit off it without any compensation or credit?
