Basically, yes. And there hasn't really been any new event to trigger wide interest in his codebase again. A lot of the old analysis of the game came from the Github leak, which was easy to deep dive in its fuckery. Nothing of that scale has happened since. The game hasn't even had any feature releases on the scale of "So fucked up its worth decompiling to judge" that would get some interest. And no real game design changes of note have occurred that are worth a higher level analysis, even my prolonged design sperging in this thread would only amount to a couple five minute videos.

The next teardown of Yansim on a technical level publicly will almost certainly require something big and notable like the Kickstarter/Crowdfunding build, barring some radically stupid game design decision by Alex before then.

A very common trait of cows is the inability to learn from their own errors and Alex constantly demonstrates this in the project that got him into the spotlight, effectively doubling down every time he makes a decision that wasn't exactly a good course of action with the excuse of "I'll fix/pay someone to fix it later". The end result is a game that isn't particularly fun to play and has worse performance than other games you'd expect it to perform not entirely unlike (Hitman, GTAV, Genshin Impact, etc...).

That said, we haven't been getting embarrassing details of past events from Alex's personal life for some time so either Alex learned to not do those things...or he got better at hiding/not sharing them. Time will tell if there's been another sisefs or two through Discord that hasn't gone public yet.

Essentially, since the Osana update we've been waiting to see if Alex will shit or get off the pot for the next potentially interesting milestone in his thread (the crowdfunding campaign) and as of now Alex still seems awfully determined to keep that turd in so who knows how long we'll keep waiting.

I haven't been keeping a close eye on Alex's Patreon but it looks like the numbers were getting a little too low for someone's liking.

He has his underage fanbase secured, so he doesn't really need to drop some major update. (Amai when?) Its hard to say for certain. Patreon padding is usually within a community, and not so much an insular individual thing. Alex could be in theory padding his total revenue, but padding users is a lot more annoying, and unlikely that he's doing so either way, the numbers don't really support it. If he was padding, he'd pad right up near an upper middle class income, not compete at the bottom with wagies.

The simpler reality is that the way he appeals to children with this game, plus the growing number of kids with access to their parents credit card for various online subscription platforms. They're used to buying subscription services for all sorts of things, so patreon for a videogame they think they like (They're often really in love with an unrealistic ideal of what it could be, not what it is, as any of us who gamed as kids probably experienced) is completely normal for them to engage in.

Normally I'd be willing to give some benefit of the doubt, but with lolcows I just immediately assume we're going straight for the most retarded option. He loves the attention and hates the implications of it - He wants to be praised and loved, but he also wants his stuff to be seen as serious, mature, advanced - Like the games of the people he looks up to. He never intended for YS to have a child audience, but unfortunately for him, children were literally the only reason the game blew up and stayed kind of relevant as it did for those few years. If kids never saw markie moo play it, it would've died quietly. Alex's another one of those content creators who despise their audience but have no choice because they dug their own grave by pandering to them. He never truly told the kids to fuck off apart from complaining about it a few times.

What the fuck are you talking about? I don't even remember any video of his fixing piggy's art. I've only ever mentioned him and mul in relation to that one tracing video, in which he was wrong. Kgon will never do anything funny because he's one of those insufferable types of people who on one hand wants to be seen as an epic ayy-lawg to appeal to more edgy communities but on the other doesn’t want to piss off the normies that actually watch him (and maybe due to his own morality idk), so he presents himself as a “virtuous troll” who would never do anything to actually hurt the poor cow. He constantly deletes, then reinstates, then deletes his videos over and over again and teases some grand event in his community tab that will never come. Keep in mind, the former volunteer in question isn't defending Mulberry's actions but is defending Mulberry as a person. Basically what this volunteer says is that Mulberry was also mistreated by Yandere Dev, who forced her to trace and change her art according to what he wanted and overworked her with the many tasks he requested. I don't want to come off as a Mulberry defender, but after going through this post, I'm inclined to believe what it says. It has made me rethink how I viewed Mulberry and that the hate she receives isn't really deserved. Even I criticized her art in the past. You can believe what you want and draw your own conclusions though.

This person is basically just confirming what we've known for years. I'm a little surprised at the self-awareness coming out from Mulberry. The poor woman basically has stockholm syndrome with Yansim, which is understandable, she's not only been following it for years like former fans, but she's designed the vast majority of the characters. I really don't think she every wanted to be involved in the drama, or for any of this to happen (duh). She just felt like she was contributing something to a game by doing something she loved, even if she's not a great artist.
