It's a little bit off topic, but apparently somebody on Tumblr contacted TinyBuild. They brought up a few issues they had with the game and this is what TinyBuild said back.

Nah you're fine man, it's not off topic at all.

Assuming those replies are legit, then it pretty much confirms what some here said - that Tinybuild will end up getting on Eva's case to reduce some of the more disturbing fetish elements of the game before release, which will either end in Eva compromising because he loves money, or chimping out and severing ties because he needs to have his fetish material intact. (how else would he get off? he has fapped to Ayano's naked model so many times now that it's getting boring).

Next up: What does devpai love more? money? or his fetish? Thank you for following the development of Yandere Simulator.

I genuinely hope it'll be money.

Uhm hello everybody, sorry for getting a bit out off topic.

Basically some users of PULL, users of other communities and I have been designing and developing a yansim based game 4 days prior to SoL.

Here is the general overview about it

Project Elegy (Placeholder name) is a stealth game where we follow our main character, Seiko Ishikawa, and help her to woo the upper classman, Yuuto Maeda.

In the game the player can actively choose how this story will play out and how it will end. There are several paths to take and several endings to get. In the game, stealth is the main theme. Therefore, it allows the player to be able to use manipulation, murder or other options.

The game takes place on a fisher island in Aomori, Japan, named Kuroshima. A very traditional island with the technology and mordern costums being brought in by the new generation.

The main character, Seiko Ishikawa, is a psychopath which means she lacks empathy and struggles with controlling her inpulses. Her success of said control is fully based on what action the player chooses for her to take.

The game is being developed using the unreal engine 4 engine.

Man I was looking forward to seeing the end product (even if this was clearly fetish porn from the offset and you are all kidding yourselves if you ever thought otherwise) as it was a pretty novel idea and I've not played a good Commandos game in forever. But fucking hell, programming so simplistic that I could do it? And uhhh well..

I mean I was never going to pay for the damn thing, but still.

Wow, when is the demo :heart-full:

This game supposedly takes place in April, as the current build has. The trees make sense I guess, but they wouldn't be blooming for the full ten weeks. Though, the only problem with April is the flowers. It's about mid-spring? It doesn't make sense.
Adding to this, I remember him mentioning an idea called "Endless Summer" after you beat the game. Does this mean he doesn't realize that the Spring semester is the start of the Japanese school year?

All these people making (better) versions of Yandere Sim should talk to TinyBuild :epik:

Alex doesn't have the best social skills and based on current information we can assume that his chimping out is correlated with TinyBuild requesting changes. Even of those "email" from Tumblr are fake there's no way Steam would allow an AO game on its platform. Concessions must be made and Alex negotiates poorly.

I wouldn't be surprised if Alex burns a bridge with TinyBuild. But what TinyBuild does with the scraps of whatever they have left from the project could definitely be used for a more gracious party.

I'm sure Alex has some deep, complex and long explanation about the flowers.

I'm waiting for him to say that they are a special breed of cherry tree imported from a place where the blooming season is later and longer. Or this is a variety of cherry tree bred to be in bloom until winter. Maybe he can tie it into the Aishi bloodline nonsense. Something stupid like that. But all he really needs to do is say "It's anime. Don't take it too seriously". But this is a so serious game so I guess that can't really work.

I doubt Eva knows anything about plants. All he needed to do was look up when cherry trees bloom in Japan. But I guess he had to have the trees for the aesthetic of it. You can't have an anime high school without cherry trees in bloom. Deep lore.

Sounds nice!
Am I assuming right that Tomoko means there is going to be a female Senpai?

If so, I'm honestly interested

(I'd say "didn't see more than one piece of art and a list but still looks better than YanSim" but honestly that's not too hard....at least you guys seem to be able to put a structure into the project, unlike Devpai.)

Unfortunately, I cannot tell when the demo will be released. This is due to some delays in both the design and development departement.

Thank you and yes there will be a female senpai.

In fact, Seiko will also have a male option and maybe, if we find a way that doesnt comtradict with the story, the rivals can also be either male or female. Obviously, the player has no control to change the rivals gender and their gender will just be chosen by the game using RNG

No, he doesn't. Because if he did, he would have known it would have made no sense to ripoff Rockstar Games' 2007 hit videogame Bully, which also had a final chapter called "Endless Summer", and which also took place at the end of the school year after you beat the game to allow the player time to complete all of the optional objectives, mini games, and tasks that they still had left to complete.

It's true. Guy doesn't have an original bone in his body, and he can't even rip stuff off well.

I am very disappointed, because I was stupid enough to believe Alex was actually developing the game. At least it's funny to see him pretending to work.
If I were him, I would use the cherry trees as an indicator of the route you're in. As an example, if you kill all your rivals, the trees lose all their petals. If you don't kill any of them, the trees will remain full of petals. If you kill some and spare others, the trees lose some of their petals depending on how much people you kill.
I don't really care if he copies this idea as he has copied so many things that the game can't even be considered his, as it is just a bunch of stolen and pre-made Unity models with crappy animations and spaghetti code thrown in a fantastic buggy mess.
Edit:
About the human trafficking idea: that was the worst idea YandereDev has ever had. How could he think it would be a good idea to give Yandere-chan the ability to engage in human trafficking being just 17~18 years old with a more or less normal but Yandere family without training (just school classes)? How would she be able to kidnap students so easily? Why would it be logical to kidnap people so someone can finish one rival off? Why the double standard regarding male and female students? It doesn't make any sense.
