New to the farms. Obligatory self-introduction post.

I'm not gonna lie. I was quite excited about Yandere Sim when my sister first told me about it, a few years ago. I never followed its development on a monthly basis, but I used to check what was going on 3-4 times a year.

The infamous "stop sending me emails" ordeal was what first tipped me off about Alex. I took to Youtube/Reddit to see what people were saying, and was surprised to see so many users agreeing with the Dev's opinion. I was starting to wonder if I was the one in the wrong when I finally came across this place. I've been silently following the discussion ever since.

I created an account today just so that I could comment on Alex's most recent shenanigans. It's incredible how he always seems to outdo himself when it comes to self victimization and shamelessly manipulating his very gullible fan-base.

Reading your comment reminded me of all those times Alex explained why he wouldn't hire a secretary. I wonder when he's going to realize that a lot of his time and energy would've been saved if he just took the advice. He wouldn't have to sift through the incredible amounts of harrassment and abuse he receives in his mail every day, hell, he could let the secretary handle that AND his social media, and he would have much more time to - gasp - work on the game for a change like he's supposed to?!

Then again, he isn't known for his incredible foresight.

The thing is: Alex is very clearly NOT interested in making any real progress in the game.

As it has been stated many times in this discussion, the amount of money he is making at the moment from Patreon + YT views alone is enough of an incentive for him to "take his time" (aka not move a muscle).

I don't know what's most astonishing: the fact that he still plans to launch a project on Kickstarter, or the fact that his fans will no doubt rationalize their willingness to fund it.

That being said, Alex would still benefit from hiring a secretary anyway. I honestly cannot understand why he spends so much of his time and energy replying to fans/haters/trolls and coming up with excuses/far-fetched justifications for his behaviour.

He is pretty obviously not working and, in addition to that, he isn't even promoting a healthy fan-base for his sad excuse for a video-game.

I don't know what his main problem is, but the game's biggest problem is its fanbase, which will cheer and throw money at their beloved Dev whenever he takes a dump. Literally.

Sure, Alex is pretty great at turning a deaf ear to his critics (even when they're trying to offer constructive criticism!). However, he wouldn't be so self-entitled if it weren't for the legion of people constantly patting him on the back for sitting on his ass and pretending to work.

I left for awhile, came back and see all this shit including the cyberbullying saga, People are actually discovering the fandom consist of 99.9% children on the subreddit, which surprises me. Were they not self aware?
And I have nothing to say, but what people already broke down. So I'll attempt to bring something new to the table.

Eva says he endured and went through so much trouble, bullying, and how his life is so hard, when he does nothing but sit down and makes cash all day with no effort, obviously most know this but it's bullshit, the 10 hours, 7 days a week crap makes me lol everytime.

He's also wrong about the characters. Naked Snake aka big boss is a completely different person than "punished" Venom Snake who is Big Boss's body double. So not only is it a shit reference he couldn't even be assed to get the characters right.

I've had this suspicion about him myself, but I don't know enough about his character to make that final call. Aside from him being an asshole with a large nose, that is.

So since it will never be finished how long do you guys think it takes before his patrons starts falling? How long can he keep his patrons on the hook?
His patreon has been around since 2015 hasn't it? So we're at 2 years and running?
