A few pages before someone brought up the inconsistency with Ayano's period attending the school, since it's not clear if it's her first or second year studying at Akademi.
This reminds me of the Journalist Tapes that are still in the game even with clearly outdated plot. At the time, Info-chan was suposed to be the (painfully obvious) final rival which also happened to be a yandere, and the tapes pratically screamed that she was also the Jounalist's daugher.

So yeah, I can see the lack of consistency being a plot hole caused by outdated info that Eva just couldn't be bothered to remove.

If she just started school, of course she doesn't know anyone and they don't know her. Of course she doesn't take threats from some chick on a laptop she knows nothing about seriously. Of course she doesn't know the headmaster's opinion of her, the layout of the school, why some students get to carry weapons and others don't. Of course she'd need to stalk people and pay for information about them and heavily explore the school. Of course she wouldn't know or care about Senpai's emotional connections with other people, like his best friend and sister. Of course she'd have to hunt down their likes and dislikes and routines. Of course people are wary about bringing up the issue of her mom's trial around her, since they don't know how you'll react.

Like. It would make everything simpler.
