We knew this a year ago from FPS Diesel's Twitter account - first Alex sperged out at him, then his favorite simp Cameron tried to act as an arbiter in their conversation and... Nothing. He didn't mention it for months and I honestly thought that he decided that it wasn't worth it. Alex being incredibly paranoid and having 0 social skills is nothing new. Also, any "interview" where Alex is the one who controls the narrative isn't worth anyone's time, since anyone can read all that in "No, I'm not" section of his website.

@Activelo thank you for your breakdown, but the only chuckle I've had from this is Alex claiming that he cares about YS, when he openly stated that he loves Lunar Scythe more.
Huh, honestly thought it was new info. I tried to look up Diesel in the search bar and I couldn't find a mention of him.

I think lolcows overthinking solutions is my favorite. The bucket mechanic needed a few tweaks, like, just make it only available at certain times of day. Why would a student be carrying a bucket unless they were cleaning? Outside of specified times either make the bucket unavailable or have it so NPCs report the player.

What bothers me most about the water cooler is that masking tape wouldn't plug a leak.

The models being stored so high the player can't see them tells me the skybox is fucking enormous.

Cameron actually meddles a lot behind Alex' back, I don't get why he's simping for him, when he leaks info and generally dislikes everyone else on the board.
He could be a very dedicated troll.

i'm not really surprised at him storing models in the sky. remember that old megami cutscene when she had black hair that was stored under the ground? iirc you could clip through the ground to see her move after triggering the cutscene to start

No, he is just a stupid teenager, like everyone who's left by Alex's side. Well, except Mulberry.

I recall there was also a funny bug that caused game to crash after certain amount of time played. Turned out that every time after loading one prop kept falling through textures and kept falling and falling until it's speed reached the variable limit and crashed the game.

If I recall correctly, this also happened to the swimming pool and the river by the Japanese Shrine that's totally not out-of place. Basically when it ran out of ticks to animate the textures the shader just turns white, giving it the very very appropriate name, The Cum Pool/River.

So, He isn't using a Spawn system or over arching System to handle students, but hardcodes Copy pasted Walls of Code into every Student Object?

I remember seeing some huge ass checklist where every Student Ran boolean checks for flags like "is angry", "has lebra" or some Shit. Please Tell me He replaced that by now. Just create status tokens with an ID and duration and bolt an interpreter onto every npc.

I dunno, i hop into this thread once a month and his project has gotten worse every single time.

March 13 bug fixing build (archive)
Hello! There were some bugs in the water cooler update, but I’ve prepared an update that fixes those bugs, and also improves the way that the feature works. You’re going to be interested in this build’s changelog!

To see a list of everything that was fixed, added, or changed in the latest build, scroll down past this screenshot of an entire classroom being electrocuted to death:

Yes, someone actually pulled it off! And he recorded a video of it, too. Exactly what I hoped to see when I released yesterday’s build!

Water Cooler Changes and Bucket Changes
  • Added the ability to remove a tripwire trap from a water cooler, so that if you accidentally place it in the wrong place, you can correct your mistake without waiting for someone to trigger the trap first.
  • Water coolers are now incapable of being tipped over onto their sides, eliminating the possibility of the player setting up a tripwire trap that floats in midair.
  • Slightly expanded the size of the “student triggered the tripwire” hitbox to reduce the possibility of a character walking into a tripwire without triggering it.
  • The game will now remember the existence/location of puddles of liquid (water, blood, gas, and brown paint) when saving/loading the game.
  • When holding a bucket that contains liquid, it is now possible to spill the contents of the bucket on the ground in front of you.
  • The act of creating a tripwire trap is now considered suspicious; if anyone sees you do it, they’ll react negatively.
  • Fixed bug that prevented the water cooler from acknowledging that the player was putting blood into it.
  • The game will now remember the location/status of the water cooler when saving/loading the game.
  • The act of carrying a water cooler around school is now considered suspicious behavior.
Fixes, Changes, Additions
  • A student who has witnessed the protagonist perform suspicious behavior is marked yellow in Yandere Vision. Due to a bug, walking nearby a student council member would cause the council members to be marked yellow. This bug has been fixed.
  • Fixed bug that caused teachers to sit and grade papers in strange locations if they were splashed with water while trying to turn off a noisy radio, if they had been grading papers before hearing the radio.
  • Fixed bug that would cause student council members to forget about any corpses that they had seen if they witnesed a fight after seeing a corpse.
  • Fixed bug that would cause a student carrying a garbage bag to completely forget about the bag if they were alarmed by anything.
  • Fixed bug that would cause the words “Memes” to appear in 1980s Mode (where the word “Jokes” is meant to appear instead).
  • Fixed bug that prevented the game from correctly tracking the current week when saving/loading data.
  • Fixed bug that prevented the game from fully rendering the protagonist during SNAP Mode.

  • Informative

If we take the ex-volunteer at their word (I have no reason to doubt them at this point in time, as what they've stated appears to line up with what was already known), Alex is hemorrhaging experienced volunteers at an increasing rate. I know a volunteer created and maintained the launcher for Alex and also provided Unity help (possibly also coding help), but I haven't seen that particular volunteer in the Discord for some time (may have left/renamed themselves or I have bad timing; admittedly, I have been barely paying attention to the server for quite some time). Odds are, if it's a design flaw that hasn't been addressed by this point, it's not going to be. Much like Star Citizen, Yandere Simulator will be in development forever, only without the former's budget.

Also, Alex seems a little bit butthurt about that recent video. It's probably not a new thing, but he is drawing fresh attention to it.

The purpose of this page is to provide answers to people who have questions about drama.
The first thing you must understand is that the fastest way to get attention and money on the Internet is to make scandalous accusations about a person with a lot of followers. It doesn't matter if the accusations you make are completely false, because most people will blindly believe everything they hear online, especially if it entertains them.
I've been targeted by drama YouTubers who make trashy tabloid-style videos where they demonize and vilify me, because they know that these videos will get them tons of attention and money. The videos that they make about me are full of misinformation, and it's trivially easy to debunk pretty much everything they say. However, most people prefer to listen to entertaining narratives far more than they prefer to listen to the truth.
It can all be summarized by one very simple statement: Your reputation is determined by what people enjoy saying about you, even if absolutely nothing that they are saying is actually true.
You should never get your information from people who shame and ridicule other people for monetary gain. These people are financially motivated to paint the worst possible picture of their target, so you should automatically assume that they are exaggerating about their target in an attempt to make their video go viral. You cannot and should not trust anything that such people say in their videos. They have zero credibility, and are not valid sources of information. Because you're such a trustworthy source Alex, lmao

Nemesis manga sequel released (archive) (not an important blog post)
Hello! I have something to announce that I’m very excited about!

On August 1, 2019, I released “Retribution”, a short manga that revealed the origins and motivations of “Nemesis”, the mysterious girl who hunts and kills Ayano in Mission Mode. For years, I’ve wanted to continue the manga with a sequel…but it had to wait until I found the right artist to work with.

Last month, an artist with a phenomenal talent for drawing manga contacted me and volunteered to create artwork for Yandere Simulator. After seeing her incredible artwork, I told her about the Nemesis sequel that I’ve always wanted to release…and she agreed to draw it!

(For now, the artist’s identity will be anonymous. As soon as she’s given me permission to share her name with you, I’ll credit her here!)

Over the past month, she’s been drawing it in her spare time, and as of today…it’s finally ready to be released! I am very proud to release Chapter 2 of Retribution!

Chapter 1 was 7 pages long, but chapter 2 is over 3 times as long, coming in at a whopping 24 pages! I really hope that you’re going to enjoy reading it!

(It’s formatted in the style of a traditional Japanese manga, so remember to read the panels from right to left!)

English Version: https://yanderesimulator.com/manga/chapter2/nemesis2.html

As you can see in the blog post where I announced it, the first chapter of Retribution was translated into SIXTEEN different languages! A testament to the fact that Yandere Simulator has fans all over the world, from a wide variety of different cultures and countries! I hope that foreign fans of the game will translate chapter 2, as well!

“But YandereDev, YandereDev! What about the game? When’s the next build?”

I’ve got a massive update with lots of changes that is almost ready to be uploaded, but I need a few more days to put the finishing touches on it. I hope you’ll look forward to it!

Assuming his Patreon money keeps dropping, do you think we'll see a video about it in April as a last ditch effort to save his project?
Who knows? He should shit something out in a week since it's gonna be 8 FUCKING YEARS of this piece of trash being in development hell.
