Are Dev and Mulberry together? I've noticed from previous screenshots that she gets kind of ticked off when he talks about “hot, pink haired animu girls.”

Is it just me, or is this painful to watch for everyone?
Inbetween the uploader joyfully rambling with the voice of a cartoon character and their tolerance for Eva's awkward behavior, you can really a get a sense for how much these people admire him.
And yet, despite how much his fans may care about him, nothing will stop him from showing unbridled contempt for them whenever they disagree with his ideas, make suggestions of their own ideas, or have the gall to make mods for his shitty game.

Almost wish this thread was in the loveshy forum. Wouldn't be surprised if YanDev agreed with a lot of the typical philosophies, too.
Honestly, I know pandering to fans is really looked down upon, but I really feel it would help YanSim a lot (not only in terms of popularity, but in terms of quality) if he did pander somewhat and removed the pervy stuff to make it a relatively innocent game (as much as it can be with all the murder) that focuses on stealth, strategy, and spying.
Looking at some of the comments on the video

apparently not, according to this post from a "stop yanderedev" blog on tumblr. seems it's not totally uncommon to mistake them for a couple though, since this ask clarifying things was sent in response to this post. but officially mulberry just happens to be an official artist for yandere sim who got really close to yandev. based off her Facebook that's listed on the yandere sim wiki she's awkward, overweight and draws mediocre hentai, so likely a lonely virgin as well. it's not too surprising they'd get along.
that being said, i get the feeling she's not 100% joking. it's not uncommon for awkward weeby virgins to pull this "let's be in a joke relationship!" shit when they have a crush on someone, especially online, since it's a super autistic way of confessing without, well, actually confessing.

Actively catering to the whim of your fanbase can sometimes have some seriously negative long term results, but I believe that anything is better than the alternative, which is for Eva to continue to estrange his own fans and volunteers by being an uncompromising prick.
Clearly they see something in the Yandere Simulator project that he can't, so I can't imagine why he won't at least try to see things from their perspective and maybe give their suggestions a little more thought than none at all. He keeps trying to add all these superfluous mechanics, unecessary fetish fuel, and excruciatingly dated easter eggs and just won't take into consideration that none of that shit isn't really what anyone wants out of a stealth game, unless he is actively called out for it like during the Yakuza and inventory skirt incidents.
Even then, he's always reluctant about making any changes that conflict with his vision of what the game should be to satisfy his fans. I don't think that anyone whose project is only out of the conceptual stage thanks to volunteers and "borrowed" assets has the right to bitch about their "artistic vision" being changed to suit what the fans are comfortable with.

Holy shit I'd never seen his face before and damn I feel bad cause he's even creepier looking than I imagined. I sincerely think this game will just end in him kidnapping a hot yandere cosplay chick and development will have to cease permanently after the murder/suicide.

I've joined the forum because of this thread, so the only logical action for me to take is to reply here.
I've been following YandereDev since the beginning of the last year and that was back then, when PewDiePie hadn't discovered him. He didn't even have the Patreon thing going on.
Because I didn't really know that much about him, I genuinely believed, he was capable of pulling off a good game. It doesn't help, that I'm also a little bit of a :autism: when it comes to being socially appropiate. In my defense, he didn't have all those Patreons Shekels back then, so I thought he was genuinely interested in making a good game. 1 hour of research shattered my image of him in an instant.
Needless to say: After enough time passed I got wary, I started questioning him, I got distraught, angry, was shocked and now I'm just pissed. This guy is seriously getting so much money for doing implementing easter eggs?
Oh boy. I can't really express my rage. I don't even know how to call him. A criminal? A pervert? A scam? It's like he's trying to be competitive when it comes to crossing lines.

I know a few people who have been keeping an eye on this project, and a lot of the reason is simply that people have been yearning for a good stealth murder game ever since IO Interactive completely shit the bed with the Hitman franchise, and left a large, garrote shaped hole in the market. Of course, suprise suprise, that would mean focusing on the gameplay itself, not making more kawaii hairstyles and pantie types.

This. One day Youtube started putting lots of videos from LPers in the recommended videos for me, so I decided to take a look to see what the fuss was about. It was around the time of the cycling in town test that was later removed, but it was a decent proof of concept at the time and I had hopes for it. Plenty of scheming, sneaking and stabbing for all to be had in a creepy anime fashion.
Then I noticed how sparse the patches with actual content are...and then I found a thread for Yanderedev here, and what hope I had left burst into flames.

I can empathize with feeling miffed that someone you had faith in turned out to be a scummy narcissist and expert bullshit artist, seeing as it's an unfortunately common sight in the indie games scene, but I wouldn't go so far as to call him a criminal. Don't let Eva, or any cow for that manner, get you passionately pissed off. Him and his project will fade into obscurity eventually, it really is only a matter of time.
It's amazing that he took so much inspiration from the Hitman franchise but failed to realize what made those games engaging. It sure as fuck ain't panty shots, that's for sure. The one good thing to come out of this is that the popularity of Yandere Simulator has ensured that it'll eventually be met with some competition, sooner or later someone'll make the game that fans of the original Hitman games are looking for.

Somethin' about hundreds of 12 year old girls trying to talk to Eva, makes my skin crawl with how he accepted nudes off a minor in the past.
I was a keen follower of Yandere Simulator in the past, but something about the Dev never rubbed right on me.His video about emails was a giant red flag.
I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even have a proper ending for YanSim, and the ending is just him talking about how his idol rejected him so heartlessly or how girls find him repulsive, or perhaps even a segment from his tantalising fan-fiction collection?
And with how development is going, that's probably a better ending for his fetish game.
