Okay, so if there's going to be a special 5th council member who represents all of the 4 Gods/Council Members symbolically...

Then what the heck is the point of Megami's existence? You know, the ultimate final rival & council president? The one who literally fits that role to a T?

Alex doesn't plan ahead, so even though logically Megami should have all of that theming, she doesn't, so instead he has to make a character that does, rather than just redesigning her to have that theming, because he's an idiot and can't prioritize.

That one is about the maid minigame.

And here, Alex talks about the possible fifth student council member and how he designs characters backwards:

And about his game design plans:

(When not stealing from someone else) His priority for designing characters is so absurd. He is not trying to make a good design student or thinking about his audience, he only cares about making her "unique", so she needs to have a unique acessory, unique stockings, unique eyes, unique pose, unique 'trait', etc.

He doesn't think from a thematic perspective either, this yellow dragon girl would fit the role of president much better than Megami, but Alex already made Megami much earlier and can't change it so you have a hilarious case where Megami looks too simple and bland compared to the other members.

"The first thing I'd do for "Yellow Dragon" is to determine what would make her face different... Heterochromia is actually a pretty neat suggestion. It's a trait that no other character has. I can definitely consider this one."

He is literally making deviantart OCs. :story:

More like Mary sue characters that you can find on Deviant Art.

That's funny, I thought Alex intended Megami to be a parody sue character (except she looks more like a run-of-the-mill mary sue rather than a parody). Now he's going to introduce a super special character with mismatched eyes that's not even a rival.

Well she'll be a super special rival when he makes all of his planned DLC he yaps about.

10/10 character design director for ya. THAT'S how you make a character! We don't talk about their whole faces, their stance, their full personality, their basic body shape or bother to apply the same symbolism to all members of a certain group! Nah, who does that? Pixar? pffff

The REAL DEAL is to make a character with the biggest ammount of snowflake traits and eyebleeding colors as possible! But don't forget to keep the exact same face and body for everyone, after all, true variety is just so hard to make!

Don't be so harsh, the Unity Asset store only has so much variety for Alex to choose from

Remeber you are talking about Alex. The same man who ran out of sides of head where he could put a ponytail, so he slapped one on every side.

I'm sure for the next week or more, Eva probably got emails from people just trying to annoy him.

I can confirm that afte the made that video, I wrote him an overly long email just to fuck with him. Which was weird because he sent out a mass email to subscribers afterwards addressing the backlash in a point by point fashion that correlated almost perfectly with my email. Not taking credit for that as I’m sure a lot of people did the same, but it made me chuckle

Late to it, but I hate the "eyes always closed" trope on characters nowadays. Chances are it will be some demonic eye(s), opening only to give a glare and only for that, or something along the lines. Brock from Pokemon gets a pass since he's just normal (he also opened his eyes a few times and he's actually squinting).

Alex needs to actually work on making character's designs instead on relying on common tropes and clothes because it will be such a cliche storm that people will already know what a person will be like miles ahead before the 'big reveal' because the tropes are so common. Just clothes, big breasts, and 'mysterious personality and rumors' won't work. Give them variety, a silhouette, a plausible life behind the main game's story, a personality, something human to them instead of just being some one-off generic killable characters that just so happened to be classified as "important" in the cast. Clothes can make the man, but clothes can't do shit if person doesn't have a personality.

Even the generic school girls and boys are more plausible than the Student Council, since the generic students actually do everyday stuff in school and panic and/or alert the staff whenever there's a murder (with the exclusion of Info and possibly Sempai, panty shots as currency in school are too far out there and while assholes bullies exist, Sempai would probably be in detention or kicked out after a while since he's beyond a asshole to almost everyone he meets). And the Student Council would rather carry pepper spray and zip ties to use them and push people rather than, calmy look over situations and talk to the students and staff.
The Student Council's job is to maintain the well-being of the school, but the generic students are doing miles better than them.
Because of that, the generics are showing they themselves are people.

Hit the nail on the head. Council members act more like delinquents, especially considering they push you if you commit the terrible crime of getting slightly too close to them.

I could understand them perhaps being hall monitors in downtime between class, but what fucking school is gonna give students pepper spray like "spritz any bitch that runs into you" like they're jaded/crooked cops?

The guy is an autistic sociopath, he doesn't know what a "person" is or how it could have a "personality", he just wants to label everything into tropes so he can understand it.
