I don't think he'll give up the easy paycheck until it's gone (when people realize the game is never coming out and stop paying). I think he'll still post YouTube videos though for the ad revenue even after patrons stop paying.

I think his fascination -- or fetishization really -- with his Luna character is on-par with John Walker Flynt (Brianna Wu) and his Holliday character from Revolution 60/Socially Unconscious creations. Their autistic fanfic Mary Sue characters are so important to them that it's an unsettling and clearly unhealthy detriment to being anywhere near normal, and they sperg when someone points out how dumb it is. There's a sexual element to both -- Flynt saw Holliday as the ultimate standard of what a pretty lady is and eventually went full transvestite to achieve that, while Alex sees Luna as fap material that was born of his eternal teen angst and sexual frustration.

Now unlike Mr. Flynt, Alex probably isn't going to lop his dong off despite all of that fucking weird Rule 63 art Mulberry drew of him, but the two are no less autistic than the other.
