I'm pretty sure this phrase applies to every feature.Maybe he should have thought this through instead of impulsively adding it to the game on an edgy whim.

Even if the texting wasn't the problem, how would the backstory make its way into the game? Literally the only way people would know about it is if they were obsessed enough with Alex to monitor all of his activity online, between Discord, Reddit, Youtube and the blog, and somehow catch him talking about that detail. The only way he has been able to add anything to the characters when it comes to in-game sources so far are the exposition galore that is Info-chan and tapes. There's only so much you can say with them, and that is without going into how fucking stupid and out of place the tapes are.I love how Alex saw people bitching about how no one in the world can just 'text' the police, and within a day comes up with some BS that one of the bully's dad is a cop to try and fix his logic.
Even if that were true, the police don't act that fast. And calling 911 would be WAY faster and smarter. Going through 'someone's dad who's a cop' would be way slower in an emergency than just calling emergency services. Phones save pictures, you don't need to send it right away for it to be seen. Run away from the threat, then show the police the photos on your phone once you are safe.

wow so I come back and learn that we now have our own in-game reference/easteregg/shout-out, what a fucking time to be alive
I actually really like that we have a reference in the game, we're one of the biggest hubs of Yan Sim discussion and it only feels right to get an official sly reference, even if he's weakly attempting to throw shade at us. It just comes off as funny to me.
Also Jay
Apparently teachers can be targets of bullying holy fuck this is broken
"Fixing." Adding more lines of if/else statements isn't helping anyone. The bug fixing is just slowly making his code even more unreadable and harder to modify, to the point that I legitimately believe he now has to delete everything and start from the very beginning if he wants to make a game that at least runs normally. For the past 2/3ish years, this poor guy has been the one that's been finding every bug and glitch in this broken game and Alex has been literally fixing the game through Jay.
Alex is getting free rigorous bug testing from Jay who is being paid by the fanbase (who watch the videos and earn him ad revenue and whatnot). It's the perfect crime. What started as a fun series for his channel has lowkey turned into a job and the fact that Alex has yet to hire an actual build tester and is just letting Jay do this for free says a lot
I mean. Isn’t that the excuse LPers give when they argue that they’re pointless content has merit to it? It’s always that or marketing(which has someone with a degree in that field, I can tell you how laughable that is)Alex is getting free rigorous bug testing from Jay who is being paid by the fanbase (who watch the videos and earn him ad revenue and whatnot). How can you break something that is already broken? So Musume actually DOES vandalize her own desk and stands there being bullied! Because that's how bullying works in Alex head, if your reputation is low you need to bully yourself.

Also, you can lower the reputation of the student council and they do get bullied but somehow they do nothing about it. As in, literally nothing. They just leave and let the bullies laugh at an empty desk.

And yes, they will bully and vandalize the teachers invisible desk too.

What a spectacular feature, i can't wait to see how fucking hard it breaks the game when you mix it with kidnapping/mindslaving/lighting on fire.
Surely, with a game like yandere simulator, there will always be a wayHow can you break something that is already broken?
It will become obvious once you listen to the tapes that I'm supposedly going to add!"

Honestly I don't have a problem with games using stuff like audio recordings, books/notes, ACTUAL easter eggs (not memes in a meme menu or "meme closet" but rather hidden goodies for the player to accidentally discover), wall writings or graffiti or something, and specific character interactions to reveal lore. Usually enough lore is thrown at you in the beginning of the game to understand the game and the main plot to a sufficient degree. "This is who I am, this is my motive, this is/these are my enemy/enemies, this is how I'm gonna win." Anything beyond that is going to feel bloated and unnecessary to certain players, and if you try to force too much onto them in the form of, say, long cutscenes, they're just going to get fucking skipped. Especially when you have a story as autistic and nonsensical as Alex's, a story that literally nobody fucking cares about, it's only right to make it a low priority and leave it around for fans who actually care (for some reason) and really want to learn about it so they can fill up wiki pages of useless information.Wait, I missed this tidbit. Is he really adding audio tapes in the game to explain the lore? I fucking hate that gimmick. It’s the laziest form of story telling in all of video games. It makes the player think it’s interactive because they have to find it, but in reality is extremely scripted and so unimportant to the enjoyment of the story that they decided to disregard it entirely and leave it as bonuses for those who like to 100% a game.

Is Eva gonna allow ALL elimination methods to work on EACH rival? link
The fuck is Eva doing? Is Eva gonna allow ALL elimination methods to work on EACH rival? link
If we take a closer look, this is a pretty stupid idea. First, let's take Osana as an example. Osana really likes senpai, and her goal is to eventually make him confess to her by the end of the week. Then why in the fuck, would a suitor elimination work for her. Does ayano think she can manipulate someone that carries strong feelings for senpai to like someone else in a course of 1 week?
And why include 1 unique elimination for each rival. This would lessen the difficulty of the game since players can figure out the linear playthrough of just doing the rival's unique elimination each week.
This design only touches the extremes: Every elimination OR 1 elimination.
A pragmatic approach is to have each rival have immunity to several eliminations(eg, the osana suitor elimination), and let the player discover and decide what the optimal elimination choices are in the course of 10 weeks. In addition, if eva decides to keep the 1 elimination method per game instance(like the rooftop fence) and scraps the unique elimination idea, then it adds the difficulty of deciding when to use a certain elimination.
In this way, eva eliminates the fucking redundant overhead of applying ALL of his pasta code into 10 rivals.
In addition, there's also the idea of dynamically randomizing the order of the rivals the player must eliminate to force the player to do 2 things: find out who the rival is for that week, and eliminate her by the end of the week. Also, rivals randomly chosen as easy mode(first weeks) have many of their abilities switched off, and the rivals in hard mode(later weeks) have more of their abilities switch on making elimination much more tricky. But, implementing a randomizer requires basic programming skill, so its.
All in all, who am I to talk about the 10 fucking rivals when the first one isn't even in the game yet.
@Yeeb-Renzo I'll try and go through past pages of the thread to find when the bullying involving that 16 year old took place, but honestly it's incredibly difficult to find anything now that we are closing in on 1,000 pages...
Someone really needs to implement a wiki where we upload all of the archives and important information people find.. we have so many talented and intelligent people who frequent this thread, it would be really helpful and smart at this point after 1,000 pages to finally do something like this.
