Ok, I downloaded it. First impressions.

- Launcher is nice.
- That GFX thing that shows up when you click play is the stock Unity engine launcher.
- No title cards, just seizure inducing warnings in the worst fucking font possible that the game is bad.
- Unexpected voice actor who's pretty good.
- Okay there are title cards.
- Music is too loud.
- Nice little character creator.

Ok, I fully understand why he just does random bullshit and spends all his time adding Sans to the game. The actual game itself is super fucking boring and clumsy. Every control is awkward and unintuitive, it feels like it's made for a console and ported to PC poorly, or made by someone who's never played video games before.

But as far as a professional product goes that people have paid him presumably hundreds of thousands of dollars to make by this point years down the road? Utterly unacceptable. It's very clear he has certain fetishes involving real women saying awkward things and that's what he focuses on.

Drama on the fan Yandere Simulator Discord when some conversations between him and a fan leaked and his "clarification" on the Subreddit that he didn't tell a fan to commit suicide like some people assumed, but did say the world would be better off with them dead behind their back. That didn't appease his fans like he thought it would. Also stole CSS from the fan Subreddit for his official Subreddit which is sure to piss off people even more.

He also tried to buy the subreddit discord server.

• One of YD's fans (Jiyu) were getting a little impatient that YD was streaming instead of finishing the update and stated that on the YSSD like any other kid would

This is a Cliffs notes version of what can be considered one of YD's worst decisions. That subreddit was one of his best connections to his fanbase besides his YouTube videos. Now, he has alienated a lot of his fanbase there

Also, one of his critics is a mod both on the subreddit and Discord.

Just imagining Alex's reaction to a superior version of his game released before his version is even considered Alpha mode makes me giddy.

The funny thing about this is that, if we made Yandere simulator a legit thing before he did and published and/or copyright claimed it, he and his fans can’t technically claim that he owns it since Eva had yet to publish the game. Copyright is a son of a bitch if you don’t protect your own ass as someone can publish work before you and then claim copyright on you instead.

Rechecked Alex "official" subreddit and there are 2 interesting things about it:

1) The fansub is called r/yandere_simulator. Alex named his sub r/yanderesimulator.

This is retarded because all searches will bring the fansub and it's virtually impossible to tell them apart at glance. At least total biscuit had the brains to name his sub r/cynicalbritOfficial

2) You can't submit anything cause it's restricted.

But you might be guessing it's only locked while he works on the sub, but it's clearly not the case since Alex is inviting people to post there.

Nobody can post anything there so his subreddit is useless, a waste of space right now. Alex is that kid who acts like a jerk while playing soccer and when people call himout he takes his ball, goes home and stares at it saying to himself: "haha now those losers aren't playing soccer!"

There's always a few patrons that pay $50-$100 during the last couple weeks of every month from what I've seen. It's hard to say if they're just troll tips or genuine donations though since $500ish don't clear each monthly payment.

I really wish one of the alternate games would take off, because I'm sure Alex would sperg out for days. We've seen how butthurt he gets about minor things, so I'm sure this could be even more entertaining. Plus, I won't lie, I think the yandere concept is fun.

Off the top of my head, I know of four projects. There are two tumblr projects that may or may not be dead. I wish them well but they struck me as kind of what you'd expect for a bunch of volunteers on tumblr:
