I really wish Yandere Simulator would actually be a real thing instead of this foul limbo project. It's just.. sad. Because it COULD be good. I doubt it will be good given who is making it but under an actual developer it could've been something interesting. It's just such a shame.
It could have been amazing, a Majora's Mask-esque high school game where you have to keep everyones schedule in your head for your plans to succeed with interesting characters and unclear good/bad decisions? Sign me the fuck up! But since we have The Alex™ as the developer it's just a poorly optimized, fan service and personal insert shitfest.

Yeah, that would've been nice. but instead he'd rather fill up the school with too many students who don't do anything interesting. If he halved the number of students and actually made them have interesting schedules then maybe..

The video is way better than I thought it would be lmfao

The moment he announces Osana is gonna be the end, his reputation will be finished. He could've at least kept it going for years by using the Patreon bucks to hire cheap workers and keep it going for some years still. Maybe there's some 4D chess in there I'm not seeing, but I don't understand this.
He loathes making the game and his Patreon support has been dwindling for a while now. I don't think YandereDev is an idiot, he sees the writing on the wall, so he put up the idea of a KickStarter to determine whether his audience still wants the game or not. If his project isn't funded by KickStarter, it's done. It's best for YandereDev to just let it go if it really makes him that unhappy.
If you didn't know those things, then you really haven't been paying attention and you need to upgrade your gremlining skills.
Sorry for not following a cow who's been boring for nearly a year. The only interesting thing he's done as of late was the gremlin video, but that was back in November of 2018. The daily growth rate of this thread should tell you how boring he got. "Gremlining skills" sounds painfully cringy.
Anyway, have we heard anything about plans after a failed Kickstarted campaign? Like, he asks for $300,000, gets only $15,000, and then what? Will that be it? Close the Patreon account, stop Youtube activity and become a wagey-slavey?
Did you not read the reddit post by RockVonCleaveland? If the KickStarter fails, that's it. YandereDev'll just move on to some other venture, whatever that may be. You really need to improve your gremlining skills.

Rock is not a reliable source, and the horse's mouth has been silent on this subject.
RockVonCleaveland is arguably Alex's right hand man as of recent. He's not only a hand-picked moderator for r/yandere_simulator (the one Alex now owns), but also is involved in the development of Yandere Simulator. As of now, RockVonCleaveland seems to be a reliable source, at least more reliable than GlitchCloud,.

I'm just here to clarify what I meant before this spirals out of control. Dev is working on a demo, and the demo ends with Osana. If the crowdfunding campaign is a success, it's not likely that development will pick up where the demo left off, so the demo—the "game" that Dev is currently working on—will likely get shelved at that point and the new development team will most likely start from scratch. That's a good thing, because it would probably be years faster than trying to turn the demo into a complete game. If the crowdfunding campaign is a failure, then YandereDev wasted the past five years of his life on a demo. But the full game will be finished no matter what. All of this was planned from the beginning and none of this is new info; people apparently just didn't understand what Dev meant, even after that "V-slice" video last November.

Bye.

Lol, don't just chimp out on us without even getting a Verified tag like your overlord @CuckyFarms Alex Mahan did

Dude you just said the Osana release would be a full game.

Either way, Alex chimps out and throws a massive tantrum.
It’s going to be hilarious, but very, very depressing for Alex’s team.

So lemme get this right...if Osana is all the game needs to FINISH it and make it a FULL GAME, then what are the other rivals supposed to be?! paid DLC cause YanDaddy needs more money uwu? If that the case what about the so-called DLC rivals? will they cost more than?

Ah, shit. I should have known clearing something up would lead to more misunderstandings.

Chill. I never said Osana would be the end of a full game. I was talking about the V-slice.

I said that Yandere Simulator is a V-slice, not a game, and once Osana is finished, it's complete. Then I pointed out the purpose of the Kickstarter: to raise money so a professional development team can make an actual game with new code and new assets. Regardless, the "game" we currently know as "Yandere Simulator" ends with Osana.

I know nothing about game dev lingo, so I assume by v-slice you mean kinda like a proof-of-concept?

Well, you're about as good at explaining yourself as Alex.

"A vertical slice, sometimes abbreviated to VS, is a type of milestone, benchmark, or deadline, with emphasis on demonstrating progress across all components of a project." So yeah, pretty much.

So, when Osana is done, it's offiially a game? These rivals people have been promised, this story people have been promised, and even Alex saying that this game was going to CONTINUE after Osana—saying he was going to KEEP GOING and REUSE Osana's code for after she was done, will NOT be done.
As well as Alex saying he's not willing to change any assets because it'll push back development time?

Ok.
So, is he going to give everyone their money back?

Edit: you saying yandere simulator is not a proof of concept, and saying that any project to come from it is a sequel. (archive)

I'm just curious about "move on to other projects" part. What projects? Alex has a reputation of shitty coder, who can't work in a team and under the surveillance of a big publisher, and who spent 5 years in vain attempts to create a v-slice. And if that will be his project, then I see only 2 possibilities - Solar Sickle: Reborn and Rapelay 2.

Personally I hope we get to this point because watching Alex attempt to manage a project involving multiple people and actual money sounds like exactly what this thread needs to come back to life with a vengeance.
