Also, what is this constant bullshit about how YS will stop being judged as a "debug sandbox" once Osana is added? People have been successfully modding her and Raibaru into the game for the past year, only being unable to add a few scripted events here and there. Unsurprisingly, Osana doesn't look like anything that required years upon years of work to complete. Apparently it takes months to make an NPC perform animations and talk.
The only thing that he's managed to keep secret is the majority of Osana's befriend/betray elimination and her expulsion elimination. Since both of those require competency in storytelling, I'm sure they'll end up being absolutely comical to play through. I'm sure there will be plenty of Reddit posts in the future justifying everything, though.
Just release the damn build already, Alex. You aren't changing anyone's mind about you, so you might as well pander to the few unfortunate souls that still worship you.

I have a question I've been debating with myself and I figured I would pose it here. Lets say by some miracle he gets the game out in... like a year from now. On a technical level it is "playable" and it really is on par with a low budget hitman rip off, would that absolve him of his lolcow status by any notable margin? or has the stuff like the emails and the gremlin video eternally cemented his status?
I guess my Tl;dr for the question is, how much does the game being on eternal development contribute to people making fun of him?
I think there's a misconception in that Yandere Simulator made him into a lolcow, which of course isn't the case. The truth is that Alex was already showing lolcow behavior before Yandere Simulator it's just that it's unlikely that he would've had enough notoriety to warrant his own thread, but he'd likely be a regular in one of the community threads.
The truth is that there's lots of game projects that are in eternal development hell, so it's not unique to him. What's unique is his behavior behind the scenes (he's a 30+ year old man suicide baiting over people being mean about his school girl murder simulator ffs). Other projects either just fade away or end up getting quietly released eventually. Like other lolcows Alex is however his own worst enemy - he's likely happier with being someone (even if that's turning into a negative) than be an unknown nobody.

He was a lolcow even before the development of Yandere Simulator as EvaXephon, but even if we disregard EvaXephon, there's still a good plenty to talk about YandereDev himself to the point we barely even mention the name EvaXephon recently (if it wasn't for him uploading weird videos on his YT account, I won't even bring the name up to begin with). The main point is that even if somehow EvaXephon and YandereDev are two separate people, YandereDev would still be a lolcow regardless of his past due to his shitty recent behavior.
