Because the lines of code are repeated, thus taking the game longer to process the repeated code.

I've typed a longer explanation sometime last year but tl;dr pathfinding is literally thousands of times more cpu-intensive than the else-if chains and he's calling it way, waaaaay too often. This happens entirely on the CPU and there's no threading, so the entire game waits for one core of the cpu to process all the paths along with all the other scripts. This is the reason why people with thousand dollar videocards still struggle to hit 30fps since the card just sits there spinning waiting for work 99% of the time.

Programmer- and gamer-boys, do you have an idea on why he does not use destroy()?

tl;dr he has absolutely terrible cohesion practices and doesn't want to clean up after himself.

He doesn't use destroy because 90% of his scripts refer to other objects by linking directly to them by reference, e,g, every student contains a reference to the player as well as every other significant student. If he were to destroy a significant object every student's reference to it would now be pointing to an invalid object and the instant any of them tried to do anything with it or query anything about it the game would crash. In order to prevent this he'd need to manually check/unlink all of them every time an object was destroyed (not anywhere near as cpu-intensive as it sounds, old MMOs do this all the time) or he could just do this the proper modern way (loose references or a central index) and not have to worry about it all. It's Alex though and a multi-hour video is more important thn five minutes of preventative programming practice.

I'm not sure if this is even worth mentioning because >change.org and also I have no idea how long this has been floating around, or whether it's been mentioned before, I only just learned of it a few hours ago.

But I disgress, there's a petition on change.org calling for Alex's Patreon to get suspended until he finishes the game.

Steadily creeping up. But again this likely won't do aything because
>change.org

Cleveland caught wind of it, and responded to it.

A notable comment on the petition appears to be Adolfin herself, though I am quite skeptical; Adolfin normally has atrocious grammar and doesn't know how capitalisation works. Not sure why a moderator would hop on this petition with her public pseudonym and not expect consequences for doing so. Just doesn't add up. They got the excessive line breaks down though so it's convincing at first glance. But here it is anyway, take it with a grain of salt.

Guess we'll find out, we'll just have to see if Adolfin publically denies writing that on an account that is verified as hers

1. See above posts.
2. "How do you expect game to ever be finished..." - we don't.
3. Holy shit, even his most devoted sycophant doesn't believe his words, even though he believes that Alex will off himself.
4. "If I want to give him money, you can't stop me" - yeah, but if somebody wants to see at least some progress or asks wrong questions, you can stop him and you will.
5. And what's the point of having Patreon, if he does fuck all? Charity?
6. No shit, Sherlock.

Doesn't matter that this petition will change nothing, this autistic response was worth it.

So, anyone skilled in coding want to point out if there's any benefit to instantiating five blood splatters within a second of each other?
Unless it's because the animation would look "smoother" that way?

It's lines 293 to 396 in AttackManagerScript.cs for the knife, but he instantiates the blood splatters with every weapon.

I'm not a Unity dev or the best programmer in the world, but I don't think there's any purpose for five four instantiations (I can't count, eh?) separated only by the time period.

My guess, Tho I’m not sure, need to look more into script, it can be related to the fact that there are different attack animations for different sanity levels and the more crazy yandere is, the longer killing animation is. So if animation is longer then default attack animation, you’ll get more blood.

After eliminating your rival, the screen fades to black. You see the cutscene with Amai (the second rival) meeting your beloved Senpai after school, followed by info-chan sending you a message stating, that a new rival has to be eliminated. The screen fades to black once again, and you appear in a long hallway, with a white path and a pink gradiented background. As you make your way through the path, you can see visual representation of stretch goals appearing on pedestals to your left and right, along with their description. For example, you will get to see the new YandereChan model spinning on a pedestal, titled "original character models" and Ayano's mother on a pedestal, titled "more characters". The stretch goals that you get to see are the following:
- Original character models, new Ayano model on the pedestal.
- More characters, Ryoba model on the pedestal.
- 9 more rivals, Kizana model on the pedestal.
- Story elements, Saikou Corp CEO model on the pedestal.
- "Much more!", nothing displayed as an example (no pedestal).
At the end of the path, you find yourself under the cherry tree with Taro Yamada Alex's self insert character and the screen cuts to black, rolling in the credits.
All of this is a subject to change.

Well, as much as I hate Alex, I guess this scene is better than a fade-to-black with text ending. A bit try-hard, granted, but I can see how this could appeal to the tweens.

Discord moderation team leaks
I've decided to play a little game with the moderation team, and let them know that I have some mods working for me.
This caused a lot of distrust to develop between the mods and Alex, some of them throwing accusations at each other.
After AMZE started accusing one of Alex's volunteers, their beloved Devpai went berserk and started throwing tantrums about how everyone is trying to get his most valuable volunteers removed from the project, quote; "You just tried to get my most valuable volunteer butchered over a personal grudge, using out of context screenshots! :yanAnger:"
After all of that happened, Alex devised a plan on how to figure out who the "traitor" is. He began giving fake information to mods, one at a time, expecting one of them to leak it. This 30 year old man is playing a game of charades with his followers, and it is still going on. That shows well how good he is at community management.

This just gave me a good laugh. He looks like an insecure middle schooler trying to conquer her own group chat.

lmao at him now wage cucking and being sub $2k on patreon.

it's just his way of spawning blood pools at the right time during an animation, the correct way of doing it would be to use AnimationEvents but I'm assuming he just doesn't know they exist.

YandereDev predicts that the full game will be finished in 1-2 years. If I’m being honest with my opinion, YandereDev is way too optimistic, so we can probably expect the game in 2-4 years. If his Patreon is shut down and he’s forced to get another job and work on the game in his spare time, expect it to take 4-8 years or longer, assuming he doesn’t fucking kill himself, because that is not a healthy way to live.

Alex is gonna kill himself because he didn't do what he said he would and spends all his time fucking around. :( Why can't you gremlins just continue to dump money at him for doing nothing? :( Why would he need to get a job? Don't you know he's going to KILL HIMSELF? :( :( :(

Found this video on my homepage. Not quite sure where this guy got it from, I'm guessing it's an unlisted video of Alex's.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eow1DJO_FZ4

TLDR; it's another pr0n game crossover anouncement (which he defends yet again.) He also mentions that the next vids will be announcing Osana's release date and 'the history of the development of Yandere Simulator', whatever that's gonna be.

I get it, kinda, as yansim is an ecchi game with "wacky" "anime" hijinks.
However, is he aware that most of his underage fans are going to check it out as it is a PRON game and teens are horny fucks who bypass +18 checks to see nudity? Linking your psychopathic waifu in a "serious" game to fanservice fluff also ruins the seriousness of the character anyway.
