The "senpai" is actually an incel using lovecraftian magic to make girls fall in love with him and you have to mercy kill them before shit goes too deep. This way senpai can be a more accurate self-insert for Alex.

Yes, it is true and no, these degenerates got everything wrong.
It was first discovered by user @DieselBoogaloo long before his mail was hacked, but even he wasn't 100% sure.
Then some autist found a way to reset a password on his mail and poorly posted results of this as @Not Based or Redpilled.
After that said account cannotgoogleme from doll forum logged in for the first time in more than a year, which to me is 100% confirmation.

It is basically two extreemes of character design. Alexe's Rivals were solid concepts, but poor execution due to his coomer habbits an inability to write a character.
LoveSicks seemed to try to do a different thing, but went for tumblr style of character making (aka my untradittional qualities are my character substitute).

Why people who are making theese games are always shooting themselves in a foot after initial first good impression of people? At this point, Yandere-like-games are just cursed.

People in this thread seem to be railing on Lovesick for all the wrong reasons.

1. Unfortunately, Alex DOES own some of the actual assets that were used in Lovesick's trailer - specifically, the character designs and environment models. Alex had his own volunteers make them, and his volunteers transferred ownership of those assets to him so they could be featured in the game. Even if Alex is actually unable to sue Lovesick's developers, they might've just apologized to get him off their ass.

2. Lovesick is not an SJW game. They DID have an SJW mod, but she was removed after the devs dug up some screenshots of her acting like a total retard. None of the actual rivals have been revealed yet, so we can't be sure any of them are Tumblrina.

Instead, let's talk about how the developers literally received a hundred applications for the moderation team and still managed to pick some of the least qualified people there are. And maybe also discuss why they changed from "we're gonna use YS assets no matter what" to "oh no plz devpai don't sue us" within a matter of days.

One of the major rules whenever you do something like this, is you never, ever, give an apology-- especially not to someone like Alex and his team, even if you are in the wrong. Apologizing to him just enables his behavior and boosts his ego.

Man, and I actually had hope for a second, how disappointing. When do you think they'll issue a public statement declaring the discontinuation of the game. I'm not sure which is worse, forced diversity characters or pornified characters. Apparently the SJW mod got removed, so my last point is moot.

Absolutely. It's honestly shocking (but at the same time, not) how similar Alex and John K are in terms of work ethics, philosophy, and even personality. The main difference between them, however, is that John K actually finished shit. He had to get people to get him to finish the work he started, but he was actually (barely, at times) able to cooperate with others. Too many times has Alex alienated past slav-I mean, "volunteers" by being overly domineering, critical, and just plain rude. Don't get me wrong, John has alienated a shit ton of people too, but at least he had paid employees and experienced staff members that tried their hardest to work alongside him as opposed to Alex utilizing his "volunteers" yet insisting to primarily work alone.

Cans Without Labels was announced on Kickstarter like, what, six, seven years ago? It was probably in pre-production for a while before being announced as well. Yandere Simulator began development in 2014 and has been in development for six years. Cans Without Labels, as shitty as it ended up being, came out last year finished after years of Kickstarter backers waiting and waiting to see if their hard-earned cash helped create something palatable.

Honestly, John telling his fans very little about the progress of Cans Without Labels had kind of the opposite effect compared to what Alex is doing now. He's giving away every single detail about YanSim and expecting his fans to still want to play his shitty game despite him revealing just about all the twists and turns that'll be in the game. It'd be like if Gen Urobuchi, weeks or even years before Madoka Magica was set to debut, made a blog post somewhere saying that Kyubey is evil because he harnesses the emotional energy of dying Magical Girls as they turn into the very thing they're instructed to fight and expected that people would still want to watch the series. I sure as hell wouldn't!

Basically, John not telling his fans a whole lot about Cans Without Labels made them expect something very creative and, at least, well-made, but it ended up being the exact opposite to many people's (non)surprise. Alex always laying on his fans every shitty idea about his game removes the elements of surprise and expectation and...clearly you all see where I'm going with this. Still, I'd take Cans Without Labels, a finished (albeit poorly done) product over what's essentially vaporware.

I dunno if any of you can tell but John K's thread is also one of the reasons why I signed up here. I would absolutely love a cow crossover between Alex and John (although it'd probably never happen ) because, like I said before, they have really similar personalities and outlooks. I also feel that John's thread deserves the "Cultcow" tag rather than this thread because I constantly have witnessed new users flooding in every other week into this thread while John's thread is rather...barren. When it's at least semi-active, the same users are there discussing him. Not sure if anyone else feels that way, but that's my two cents on both threads' tags.

What if there isn't a "Hate and Shame 2". It could all just be for his video looking back at the development history after releasing Osana. We know for certain that such a video is comming. Whinning about how trolls prevent him from releasing Osana is pointless, if he believes he can release her shortly. When the original "Hate and Shame" released, he was no where near as close to his self set finish line as he is now.

Thanks for clearing that up for me and anyone else who might've been confused! I wasn't sure if Lovesick was actually heading in that direction or not. Hopefully the Lovesick dev team create better characters than what Alex and that cringy mod can. Then I can finally say that I have faith in the project. Either way though, I'm sure it'll go bust just like all the other "spiting Alex" YanDev fangames have.
