Even a fictional world has to follow some rules to be enjoyable and allow suspension of disbelief. There's a difference between exploring fantasy concepts, and just being retardly edgy.

Most devs want to finish their current project so they can start monetizing another one (or take a break). But I've seen a lot of kickstarter/patreon projects (some as a backer, others as an interested, but uninvolved observer), and a good way to shut people up is to lore dump. It won't work on everyone, but it still counts as a monthly update for patreon's sake.

Lore is easier to do than coding and is less tedious. Plus, he's at the point in which the feature creep has already reached a ridiculous level. So coding the basics again will be hard and drawn out.

Anyone who has had a good relationship is aware that you must forgive a person's flaws when you truly love each other and are otherwise a good fit. We are human and flawed. We may want perfection that doesn't exist, but maturity is moving past that unrealistic expectation. In fact, we all also want a person to love us that looks past our own flaws to see the good. The "perfect partner" is someone who always loves you, right? We definitely cannot get without giving. It would not be fair. We certainly can't expect someone to look past our own flaws as a mere human, while we expect impossible levels of perfection from a partner.
It is ONLY annoying assholes who believe they will find someone perfect and flawless.
