Oh he was super fucking salty about it. IIRC his cover story was that it's a skirt she inherited from her yandere Mom for sneakily carrying around weapons/illicit items. But like, even if it's a good excuse it's an excuse for something that doesn't need one. Almost no games actually give a logical explanation for any sort of inventory. Look at any Legend of Zelda game, Link carrys around an inhuman amount of shit and no one cares. Luckily even though he was salty he realized that wouldn't fly. Now can we get the same for panty shots???

Now that we have a quiet moment, I'd like to talk about how the perfect yan-sim already exists and how it is a massive hit.

If we take YandereSim to be a "social stealth sim with the goal of getting away with murder", I'd argue AmongUs is exactly that, but space themed, instead of anime themed.

AmongUs is a stealth game, its a game about social manipulation and its a game about getting away with murder and killing all your oppenents.
Make the map highschool themed, rename imposter to yandere and you got a YanSim game.

By being multiplayer it solves the biggest design issue of YanSim: Its difficult to create NPCs that make it hard, but not impossible to get away with murder.

It uncanny how well AmongUs implements YanSims core idea and how much success they got from it.
