My schizo theory is that the increased rates of depression are in large part due to environmental factors, and it is being pathologized to almost distract from the fact that people are genuinely unhappy.

When one really "objectifies" by thinking of people as biological bots without free will (as atheism may claim) -- then in such a view, people can cease to be seen as sexual beings: instead just as biological bots acting according to genetic programming and neural activity. Sex differences can cease to be relevant: just different configurations of biological robots. Seems a guy finding a gal hot -- which SJWs "call out" as "objectification" -- goes the other way: viewing people as having essences (souls) and free will.

Wendy McElroy -- a feminist -- made a similar argument: "objectification" is a delusional concept as objects don't have sexuality.

Total lack of interest in sex is (correctly) indicative of certain severe mental illnesses/personality disorders. Or it was until it was “reclaimed.”

I think it’s mostly just confused girls who get confused by hyper porn culture and understandably want to opt out of it. But yes apparently ppl claim the asexual label even while having sex all the time with their polycule or whatever and I can’t even begin to wrap my head around that besides that it’s just silly young ppl.

Probably yeah, but THIS is something different entirely more tied to the growing "culture" surrounding it that's so warped it just blankets even shit thats the direct opposite of "not wanting to have sex" into the "identity". I'm surprised the "demisexual" shit is taken not only as serious now but put in the asexual category f these fucking identity things because it's literally just the standard "not fucking till you know someone and love them" shit everyone does.

Basically simplifying the warped logic here it's like this:
Trying to know and relate/bond with someone before fucking =Demisexual=Asexual= LGBTQ++ PRIDE!
Mildly short or long hair or abnormal height compared to norms=GNC=NB=TRAAAAAAAAAAANS BIGOT!
