Okay, I'm trying to understand asexuality, and it seems stupid to me every time I hear it. I recently had a discussion with a friend about what it means to be asexual; she's a normal, heterosexual woman. But basically, she explained to me that asexuality is valid because asexual people look for someone to share things with, they feel completely in love, and they can live in sexless couples, and that it's a totally different type of relationship than what you'd have with a friend, no matter how much you love them. I understand that no relationship is based solely on sex, and I feel like it's the same, I don't know. In the end, it was a little confusing for me, how she tried to explain how it's not the same, and the conclusion was that we will all eventually become asexual when we're old.
