I can understand his initial desire to set up the Tard Guards, but I do agree it was pretty doomed to fail. I still hold some sympathy for him because I, with the info we currently have available, don't think he knew about the Charbaric actions going on. I can only imagine how empty you feel inside after unintentionally aiding a repeated rapist. I also do buy his story about thinking Chris just had a retarded lie up until he stole from his mom. I think that action was paramount in truly revealing how little Chris cared about his mother's boundaries.

not necessarily. I’m not sure when the bondage texts were sent, I don’t remember if the screenshots had a date and I don’t want to go back and read them to be honest.
Ligature marks, depending on how he tied, are possible especially because she’s very old and old people don’t heal as fast and bruise easier.

That specific string of texts does not read the same way other stuff he'd normally write.
Even tho it came from what is likely a semi-reputable source regarding some other of this year's earlier stuff about Christ, the screenshot's content as well as the fact that that goofball replied to himself (appearing to forget to switch accounts for a moment) don't give the BDSM claim any credit.

Null just wanted his favorite lolcow to not get scammed. He felt bad. However in retrospect it should have been very obvious that Chris was growing not only unhinged, but predatory. He's a sociopath, Null isn't; and it is very hard for non-sociopaths to contemplate the depths to which sociopaths will sink for even the smallest perceived reward.

I'm on the fence about the legitimacy of the texts as well, but it was a thought that I had.

Elderly people have incredibly thin, delicate skin. If he did attempt to tie her up, I don't see him doing a good job of it. But i can easily see him yanking and pulling on them to hold himself up, creating tears and marks. She wouldn't even have to get up for him to have access.

I hate it.

I think most of us were of the opinion that Chris is a harmless doofus. Sometimes he does stupid shit when he panics or he’s egged on, but he’s not really a bad guy. I assume Null believed much the same.

What are the red flags that should have tipped us off that Chris is a sociopath? What could not have been attributed to his untreated autism and enabling?

I don’t want to speak for Null, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he felt some obligation to look out for Chris. After all, Chris is the reason this site was created in the first place. Many of the people who tormented Chris with fake heartsweets and other antics came from here. Null is quite a bit older now than when he first founded the site so it’s only natural that he would feel a bit of troll’s remorse. In retrospect we can see that his attempt(s) at helping Chris were severely misguided, but I think I understand why he did it.
