Exit the Dragon - Sorry for being too badass for your honor

From Magistrate Judge Ray Kent's Order Striking Complaint today in Doe No. 2 v. Clinton County (W.D. Mich.):

Each page of plaintiff's complaint appears on an e-filing which is dominated by a large multi-colored cartoon dragon dressed in a suit, presumably because she is represented by the law firm of "Dragon Lawyers PC © Award Winning Lawyers". See Compl. (ECF No. 1). Fed. R. Civ. P. 12(f)(1) allows a court to "strike from a pleading an insufficient defense or any redundant, immaterial, impertinent, or scandalous matter." Use of this dragon cartoon logo is not only distracting, it is juvenile and impertinent. The Court is not a cartoon. Accordingly,

IT IS ORDERED that plaintiff's complaint (ECF No. 1) is STRICKEN. Plaintiff is directed to file an amended complaint, containing the same allegations as the original complaint, without the cartoon dragon by no later than May 5, 2025.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that plaintiff shall not file any other documents with the cartoon dragon or other inappropriate content.

This is A&N, please spoonfeed us the backstory about the case so we can decide whether it's based or cringe, beyond the obvious furry lolyer antics. Thank you.
Don't need a backstory. Furry's Corollary. If you are in a lawsuit, and your lawyer is a furry, you lose.
Did they seriously think the judge was going to be amused or intimidated by this? There's a time and a place to do stuff and in a legal proceeding is not one of them.
Even if it isn't furfag shit, you shouldn't have obtrusive watermarks in your documents, or anything that distracts from the business at hand, just like you shouldn't show up in a clown suit and honk your clown nose as punctuation.

For a expensive legal degree, he should have learned during his bachelor's not to put a watermark on a resume, or his fursona. If you want one example to question the American legal system, this would be a good one.

Here is the whole dragon filled document. I would like to note that it not only has a giant watermark but also a small logo and name at the bottom right of each page... He also fucked with the font in random spots and has colored shit like his firms name and the page number magenta

I doubt the lawyer is a furry. Logo is clearly AI-generated and/or a stock image.

Had a laugh at the website. Garish purple text, bad formatting, shopping cart functionality for a law firm. "Integrates AI to lower the cost of legal services."

Aside from the giant watermark, the fonts and colors in the complaint are all over the place. THREE different fonts used for the Court's name alone. The "NOW COMES" (correct usage would be "comes now", without extra formatting) and the oversized purple text for the firm's name ooze tackiness. No judge in the country wants to read a pleading that looks like that. This is the kind of stuff you expect to see from pro se litigants.

My favorite part is the links that are supposed to show what type of cases he takes. Half of them try to take you to shit like HTTP://divorce/ and all of them just show pages like this.

I refuse to believe this is a real person, this is unreal levels of bad.

Edit: If you can't reach the man himself don't worry you can also contact one of his 4 stock image employees. about us page (A)

I dunno why but this popped into my head:

(I thought about archiving this so people would not have to log in but I do not feel like shitting up the server with the double dragon into)
Hey now, dragons are pretty cool by themselves, as well as Double Dragon from Technos. I feel this would fit much better for someone like him:

He didn't even hire someone to design the logo, it's a stock vector.

And there's more where that came from (same artist):

Wait, you're saying we could all be furry lawyers with a cartoon animal in a suit crossing its arms? Check to see if they've made one with a kiwi bird. Null can really spice up his legal game against Greer!

Something about these images' rendering and obnoxiously saturated colors makes them look AI generated.

Could be, I suppose. This particular artist has eleven pages worth of similar stuff up for sale, most of which are obviously made to be sports (or "esports") team mascots. Those would tend to be on the garish side, regardless.

another concept that's a dead give away to anything AI is called brush quality/variation
The idea is things with more detail pop out more when things around it have less detail.
it's a composition tool used to lead the viewers eye.

AI either gives everything the same amount of detail, or the same brush quality (no line variation)
