Extra Players for a Vamp: The Masquerade Game?

Right gents, I've actually decided to take the plunge and try my hand at DMing a game. The game in question is a Vampire: The Masquerade game, and it takes place in modern day LA. The game itself is tied to VtM: Bloodlines, a right good game that not only is fun to play but very good at introducing you to the lore.

The general tone and so far, based on the two people I know who are in, is that you guys will be a group of young Anarchs (basically vampires who don't bow down to the major sects and organizations) who are essentially thrown into the powderkeg of LA. The Camarilla is severely weakened after Lacroix' manipulations and desperation to accrue power, the Anarchs are still going strong (although Nines is in torpor), and the Sabbat are still in play under one of the most respected figures in the organization. On top of that, the mysterious Kuei-jin, eastern entities who share many traits with vampires, have settled more of the area. The region is in flux, and many good things can come to a clever crew. It is just as easy for said crew to experience final death however.

VtM tends to be a pretty story intensive game, but when fights go down, they can be quick and brutal affairs and can easily result in death on both sides. I'd at least think of a potential back-up in case something bad happens to be safe. I tend to like things to be semi-serious, and while I do tolerate joke characters, I'm not a big fan of them.

I'm pretty open on clans and bloodlines, and am definitely happy to work with you if you need help on character creation if this is your first rodeo in the system too.

The system I use is the 20th Anniversary edition, so if you have a book of it, great. If not, don't worry, I got you covered. I have the character sheet ready as well, but due to it being from a different version, some quirks are to be expected.

Time wise, the best dates for me are the Weekends and Tuesday. In two weeks, Wednesday and Monday open up as well. Times are pretty flexible, and I can usually wake up and/or do this at any point, although I will note that of the bunch, two of us are in the EST though to give you an idea. Enough interest in this might lead to me doing the goddamn insane thing of making two groups, since I tend to prefer smaller groups of 5-7 players and Vamp games get kind of wacky if the group gets too big.

Haha, do you guys accept Salubri players?

>.> I ask because it's like... baaaaarely a bloodline.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to play, but is there any chance you could name a character after me?

Of note, I have the Rolld20 game partially set up (maps for the first encounter are partially set), and I have the character sheet available on Rolld20 now too. This was mostly because this really simplifies things and makes it so that the issues with the old sheet are a thing of the past.

I'd be interested potentially.

If you decide to do this, feel free to PM me your skype handle.

I wouldn't say no to a Salubri player, since we're playing Anarch. The homebrew elements I got going basically posits that rather than there being only seven Salubri at any point in time, they are merely slow to grow due to their embracing style and special limitations, which means it's less... unlikely. Their antitribu counterparts, the Furies are better off, but only recently have they really started showing signs of being a real taskforce in the Sabbat.

And yes, there are homebrew elements, mostly fluff based ones. Biggest changes are some bloodlines are promoted to full on Clan, and some bloodlines don't exist. Also some new ones are available, but mostly in the form of different Nagaraja lineages and a big overhaul on the Kuei-jin, as I felt they were handled poorly and I don't want to deal with reading through Kindred of the East.

Honestly, the only major clan limitations I'd have for players in this game is no Tremere (due to lore) and no Baali.

You want a detective, druglord, gangsta, something else? Also, is it the time? Because Monday and Wednesday will open up for me in the next 2 weeks.

Gangsta or detective would be pretty good, but honestly, I'm not too fussed.
Time and work. Because of the time difference (Australian), I doubt I'd get the time to join you guys. Sorry.

Sorry for the weird question. I usually play Malki or something, but I bought a Salubri clanbook for obscenely cheap a while back, and I was wondering.

May I do some research on V20 and get back to you? Not entirely sure how it's changed over the years.

I don't mind. I can get you the V20 copy too if you need it.

Times changed up for anyone in the mood for this type of game. I got everyday but Thursday open now, and I'm looking for two or three more fellas for the game.

If you need more info on the people still in so far:

Player 1:
pseudo-detective build
Very good at picking up small details
Trade is an art student
Clan:
LaSombra
Affliliated: Anarch (loosely)

Player 2:
The other has a more... face man/support build
Stacked towards skill, but not so much to combat
Trade is... well, drug dealer/cult leader
Clan:
Tzimisce
Affiliated: Anarch

Just to give you an idea of the loadout and see if this is your cup of tea.

EDIT: We have a third. One more person would be ace, but we have what I'd consider a good minimum for a Vamp game. The game starts next week, Saturday at 1:30 - 2:00 PM EST.

Player 3:
Combat build
Heavily focused on Charisma, Firearms, and Melee
"Grizzled Veteran" of the Kindred World
Clan: Brujah
Affliliated: Anarch

That entire concept is terrifying.

I've played games with him before; he tends to come up with some amazing ideas. Like in our D&D Evil campaign, he cooked up a Gargoyle Ninja. He even managed to roll a high enough int so he wasn't an idiot too. He had a fondness for caltrops and dual-wielding flails with that character.
