It's unimaginable now, but facebook used to be actual fun. For a fleeting moment the biggest concern was user enjoyment.
I dont know why every generation gets hung up on VR. It always ends up as a novelty thing. Until we can beam images directly into brain VR is just a GUI but worse. The closest we got to a real application was Google Glass because it was designed as augmented reality, which imo is the correct approach.
Like, these retards saw the success of Niantic's hybrid VR model where RL is filtered through cyberspace and shrugged, deciding instead the 80s arcade approach was corrext just because some pedophile wrote a book about it.
