Considering all of the other card games he played, I'm surprised he never got into magic the gathering.
Does the game place even do pokemon nights anymore?

Magic the gathering doesn't have an kids anime show to promote it.

I know The Game Place years represented Chris at his most social, but accounts seemed to indicate that he didn't really like interacting with the other players. Seems strange that he was so insanely fucked up about getting berma-banned.

^ maybe it was his "happy place", being surrounded by countless toys and "kewl stuff" (given how much he surrounds himself in his room, the game place must have seemed like heaven due to being far better aired and smelling substantially less of fecal matter), an ability to pretend to be social without (usual) lack of people getting in his face due to the majority of people there being kids, the ability to have regular access to potential "gal pal" megan, and if my suspicions are correct the possibility to get out of Barb's claws and away from Bob telling him to do his chores.

Why he hasnt gone and found himself a new game store is likely due to the fact he grew up going to the gameplace, and associates it with all his happy memories, and is thus unwilling to ever let it go

Of course Chris is still sore about The Game Place, it's where he endured his greatest defeats in the history of CWC.
See when a troll beats him, Chris will pout and cry about it for a day, then he'll return back on his feet and pretend that it never happened. That is Chris's strategy, pretend it never happened. Chris can't do the same for his defeats with Snyder, after all THAT THIEVING LIAR took his hangout spot (which was like a 2nd bedroom to him) and almost his freedom.

I've seen similar incidents with other lolcows. When they get banned from a website they end up pretending like they don't care, but soon they end up begging to be let back in.

another thing to remember is that autistics tend to be more comfortable (i.e. function better) when a routine is in place. it probably sent chris over the edge that a big part of his weekly routine was suddenly (and unpleasantly for chris) brought to an end.

while a neurotypical person would move the fuck on, chris is stuck in a perpetual state of disbelief that it happened.

of course, he didn't do anything wrong and everyone else is to blame and snyder is absolutely a field agent bent on ruining his life.
