Knockout users like to project alot.

Every book is about inducting somebody into an ideology. It cannot just be a fun thought experiment. Never mind that Heinlein wrote Stranger in Strange land, Revolt in 2100, and
the Moon is Harsh Mistress. No, he is a fascist and his other books about hippy communes being awesome, violence being evil, and literal revolts against ultra-religious far-right authorities are just non-existent.

The great irony here is that the moral of the Starship troopers book is actually extremely simple: "Things are not always what they seem". The entire book is Rico being surprised about stuff and learning that everything is as it is for a deeper reason - the book ending with us the audience being surprised about something about him.
 
DaisyBunny (formerly "StrawberryClock") has to be the most deranged user on the site. It's insane to me that someone will have simultaneous trans, polyamorous, "plural", and otherkin awakenings in such a short timeframe of being terminally online on Discord and VRChat and see nothing unusual about it. The runner up is probably the fat purple dragon user who I think used to be "thatswordguy".

Wait, shit, that's StrawberryClock?! I was wondering literally just yesterday whatever happened to that guy--I hadn't seen him in years. Fucking hell, what a fall from grace from the Facepunch days. I'd always wondered if he was the same StrawberryClock from Newgrounds.

Maddie Ringtail being ThatSwordGuy is another surprise regarding a name I hadn't seen around in a while, though I never paid much attention to that user. Still, when you consider he made this post back before he lost his mind:

Seriously, what the fuck happened to these people that made them go from reasonable to the lunacy we're seeing now? Where did this come from? I remember when the only tranny on the forum was AtomicSans and she was actually pretty chill from what I remember. Bear in mind this was before the transtrender fad kicked into high gear and became the ugliness it is today, but I literally even remember thinking "oh hey, that's neat" when I learned about her. Now she's not even around anymore and these absolute fucking psychos who truly live up to the "troon" label have taken her place.

Like let me be clear, I don't inherently hate trannies so long as they actually are just minding their own business, as the freak above noted back when he was still lucid. What the fuck emboldened/degraded them into this state?

I just posted a feature on Ringtail over in the plural thread. Guy's a bloody lunatic and him and his troonwife Laura are obsessed with dramawank and chasing off any people who disagree with them no matter if they're straight or alphabet people. Lately they're white knighting for Samael the Paedodragon.

I do not understand how people can laugh at a moron like Matt Walsh who believes that toxic masculinity is virtuous when they themselves promote the very attitudes and mindset that leads to toxic masculinity in the first place.

Person A: "Men should express themselves more"
Person B: "Yeah, I just feel that being a man is shitty, we cannot really express ourselves and are kinda trapped in a self-made prison. People mistrust us because we are stronger and have higher crime rates"
Person A: "You are trying to be one of the good ones. Not everybody mistrusts you for being a man and you will not be judged for expressing yourself"
Person B internally: "Alright, guess I'll just never bring that up again..."

The thread overall is a surprisingly good read though.

They're losers, why else. A boy can blossom into manhood either through philosophy (i.e. studying the Greeks, becoming a master of true word) or he can discover wisdom on his own through rubbing elbows with other men over loot. If a boy does neither but spends too much time under female care and feminine environment, he'll naturally feel wholly deficient ("men are baad") because he physically can't execute the feminine roles he grew to identify himself with. Women were always protected by men and don't have to worry too much about thinking straight or rubbing elbows and all that entails from that, and these feminized guys will never be granted this privilege, not even all biological women do, just most of the pretty and healthy ones. That's why these loons fashion themselves as lizards/robots/dogs with big tits, because when it comes to performing the feminine roles, their ceiling is to be a bottom in a sex act.

I remember being offput for having to make an account AND HAVING TO MAKE AN INTRODUCTORY POST, then wait for the mods to accept it, just to download Gbombs 4 mod for gmod 10 years ago while it was in development.

It had an alright age for a bit were it was like a knockoff something awful. It was always elitist but people could still remember to have fun. People were still left wing but the general vibe was far more moderate. There were always weirdos lurking in the subforums but the mods were generally good about baning them if they pulled any weird kink shit or preaching in the threads were that wasn't the topic.

I personally felt the vibe change once MaxofS2D became a mod. He's kind of an obscure laughing stock now, but at the time he really dictated the direction the site would go into. He was extremely left wing and his super lefty buddies would intentionally provoke people into arguments that MaxofS2D would ban people for. It was the first time voicing a "wrong" opinion was ban worthy in itself. I first noticed it when the topic of transgender people came up and you weren't allowed to bring up biology without being banned.
