If me and my buddies weren't addicted to Tarkov right now I'd be sinking another 100 hours.

Always weird when one of my favorite games pops up in current affairs. I'm in the middle of constructing a factory with a friend right now. Yes factorio definitely suits the autistics but those of you not on the spectrum can probably find enjoyment too. I'm actually really bad at all the logic/programming stuff, although it is aesthetically pleasing to see a well built factory operating as intended, there's a component I don't see mentioned, and that's the fact that bugs are constantly trying to destroy your factory.
They evolve and get stronger as your factory expands. It's basically an arms race to get better weaponry to fight off bugs before they out evolve you and wipe you out. It's not all just boring logic stuff, you have to think defensive, efficiently, and engage in Ender's Game-esque genocide where you're shooting nuclear artillery at massive bug hives. But the bugs are subtle and slow, they won't bother you at all for a few hours, so people just trying the game out may not be aware of them.

So, it's the ever present bug menace and multiplayer shenanigans that I like the most. I won't explain why the game is exponentially more fun with friends, non-autistics can figure that out pretty easily. But just in case I offer this example of how factorio is great with buds. It's a pretty good example of how people typically approach factorio:

Funny you mention Tarkov, I plan on getting into that myself when I get a stronger PC later this year. Rock on man with that next Factorio playthrough.

It's actually surprising how the trains in Factorio manage to be as complex and interesting to get working as the ones in a dedicated train game like OpenTTD. Sure, you don't have to worry so much about slopes and speeds for maximum optimization, but what you can do with pathing and signage alone is flat-out absurd. I'm autistic enough to have graduated in STEM, and I still can't fully unlock the power of circuits combined with signage in Factorio.

There's no need for Factorio to ever go on sale because it's insanely easy to pirate, the devs know this and know that anyone autistic enough to enjoy the game is probably autistic enough to care about the Steam Achievements too so will buy it so their accomplishments matter.

I like how so many of the troons admitted they pirated it anyway, as if there wasn't enough reason not to give a single fuck about their moronic demands. They aren't customers, any more than shoplifters are.

It's true. The only time it went on sale that I know of was a humble bundle sale in 2016, and it was still in early access then. I doubt it will go on any sale now that it's an officially released title. Either be a NEET tranny and pirate it or find a way to come up with $30.

There are sketchy things in the game such as referring to fauna as "the natives" that you have to defend yourself against, which uh, isn't great given the fact that this is how native peoples have been referred to in a dehumanising manner.

I like how His concern is simply the language rather than whether or not the bugs are sentient and the moral implications of that.

But maybe they have a point. I suppose If they wanted to use language that more accurately implied an animistic aspect to the bugs they could have gone with "indigenous inhabitants", which to most people would invoke an image of some creature like a bird, frog or ...... oh wait ...... that's the "correct" term for human's who colonized an area before white people did nowadays isn't it ? So that would probably be even more racist according to these people.

The only correct response to shit like this has and will always be "go fuck yourselves".

So they'll harass Valve to take down his game, remove the comments, ban the people who reviewed the game positively and, quite possibly, have all three of these things happen.
