Moreover though, as I already explained, you aren't in a position to defend any of these people because you don't know them. How many of them have you met in real life? How many of them have you spent more than four continuous hours of real time with? You don't understand a person by going out drinking with them after a convention, you understand a person by being their friend, in person. By speaking to them, challenging them, understanding them. If you were June's friend, you would be actually a pretty useful person to defend her because you likely would have said the same things to her in person that the rest of us were saying in this thread, like "hey, you've been engaged two years...where's my invite? Got a save the date yet?" "Oh, you don't really like being in Canada because you can't make videos up there? Well, if you moved up there you could take all your equipment there...you could even set up your own office in Greg's house!"

You like to draw? Great. Maybe you could try to do some graphic design work and join a company. Then you would be able to talk to your coworkers about what was on TV, or maybe your pets or something else they could relate to. That is how you make friends, that is how you have and maintain healthy relationships.

Having make believe relationships with people is a good way to stunt your emotional growth and render you isolated from the real world.
