  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I can't see how it isn't going to be a disaster. People found scads of bugs surfing the stress test that should have been fixed in alpha, its like they just made sure the game booted and all the systems ran properly if you made no attempt to misuse them or do anything unusual and then they just said "ok, looks great, ready for release. No, we don't need play testing. Who would cheat or exploit in an online game anyway? People don't do that."

Every day It gets more clear why The Elder Scrolls Online was developed by Zenimax.

Considering Zenimax went into a huge legal slap fight to get all the rights for Fallout Online I am kind of surprised there isn't one in the works or prototyping stages.

I bet there will be legions of fanboys screaming at the people saying they screwed up by not including anti cheat measures. "If you guys just don't cheat then it won't be a problem, stop blaming the company for chinese haxorz".

There's always the squad of people who... just seem to want to be fucked in the ass by every corporation they deal with. The "You entitled gamers" squad. They don't want their favorite company to have to do any work, it's all on the players to learn to play the game the right way.

If I take off my tinfoil hat I'd say they're working on it but waiting for Todd Howard to fuck up so they can fill a need.

Otherwise it's more likely Todd is holding on to the IP because he's a big baby afraid of being outshone again.

I'm not playing this crap, I've already seen enough negative coverage plus it looks like one giant Fallout 4 multiplayer mod.

It's literally just that. They cheerfully admit it in the documentary about the game they did that the whole game is a multiplayer mod because they wanted a multiplayer mode in Fallout 4 but the world wouldn't scale right for them. So the solution is a new gamespace.

Hence why it's not a properly numbered game. For the majority of them this is the cores first ever multiplayer and it's starting to show with the sheer number of basic mistakes being made. With how it is going, Zenimax online will probably step in next and make a Fallout Online, especially considering TESO is making them a cool half billion a year.

I'm done, I'm just so fucking done. It's just the same quantity over quality bullshit from Fallout 4: Reposting this from my general images post earlier. @Y2K Baby was right and that's terrible.

So let me get this straight, if you increase your framerate the player will speed up, so you can basically just stare down at the ground and go fast?

I kind of get not catching shit that you'd need to actually mod your files but basic exploits like this is something you'd think would show up in a mobile game made by Indians, not a AAA studio.

I feel bad for the people who are just going to buy this because it has "FALL OUT" on the name. Only to wander around the wastelands for about 2 seconds before "JarJarBinksFan420" caps them with a rocket launcher while flying around the air in insanely speed up no-clip mode while screaming nigger nonstop over mic.

Actually, never mind. That sounds pretty funny.

Why should anyone do that? It would be far more hilarious to look for the most complex stock item in the game, replace that with literally nothing in your own client and then write a script that spawns that item a million times in front of you.
>go to large group of people
>press spam key
>watch as everyone's PC slows to glacial speeds as it tries to render these objects while their player models glitch out in super slow-motion

Tbf, Black Isle and Obsidian could be goofier than FO3/4, but Avellone also knows when to be funny and when to be serious, unlike Todd's spergy writers
Not interested in discussing how realistic the setting is when super mutants and ghouls exist :)
Edit: thats something bethesda themselves fucking said you absolute idiots

I'm honestly shocked by how inept it is. GTA5's case was a bit different, since GTAO's success was a happy accident, the Housers had no faith it at launch, it was R*'s first proper mmo outing, and R* actually cares enough to improve their games over time. Bethesda on the other hand...ESO has been out since like 2014, why not just use assets from that game's team? Also, I give it until Late 2019 until the servers are like 80% pirated copy server hackers and by like early 2020, the servers will likely be killed in favor of "Starfield Online" or something

Ultima Online will live on forever as the Wild West of MMOs. Players could do all kinds of unexpected shenanigans because of the freedom given to them and the weird interactions of the game engine that nobody had yet discovered were a bad idea.

My favorite will always be the slime incident.

The best part about this is that depending on the stupidity of their physics engine this is either going to make the victims completely unable to move or make them clip through the terrain into the void.

This is my most anticipated game release of the year and I don’t even plan on playing it.
