Fallout 76 General Thread - Bethesda does it again!

I don't understand how Bethesda keeps managing to make this worse OUTSIDE of the game itself! I'm used to them consistently fucking up their games, but they keep on turning this into a PR disaster even if the game itself wasn't dire. I've never heard of a game developer possibly breaking state liquor laws before, that's new ground here.

Well there was that one Fallout fansperg who almost died from eating 20 year old canned goods and Coke.

Couldn't be too expensive to get hold of long-expired foods and ship it to true and honest fans.

Pft, they need to get on MRESteve's level and eat tinned beef from the Boer Wars.

Here's the thing tho. I see this argument come up a lot; Their games are nothing without mods and the modding has been keeping these games relevant but here's the thing thought:
THERE'S NO MODS ON CONSOLES.

These games move more copies on fucking consoles, with the mass of console peasants playing these games VANILLA and still sucking Bethesda's cock. Fuck, actually, I think the console peasants are even more rabid fans of Bethesda. And that's after playing Oblivion, Fallout 3, New Vegas, Skyrim and Fallout 4 Vanilla. (The shitty offering on console don't count, those aren't mods they're insults.)

No fucking wonders Bethesda doesn't give a shit, they deliver these broken ass buggy mess, barely patch them, and the fucking peasants just eat it up, "Please, may I have some more, Todd?"
I played Oblivion and Fallout 3 vanilla on a 360 just fine and it never really crashed.

They should get old MREs with botulism and swelling cans, and then irradiate them in the ruins of Chernobyl so they're actually gamma emitters and give you radiation poisoning.

XBOX was never the real ripoff, it was PS3. If you played long enough on PS3 then youd literally fry your hard drive.

Are you talking about that nifty glitch in the PS3 port of FO3 where corpses of your killed enemies/ashes/goo piles never disappear and eventually you'll toast the console because it takes so much more and more power and memory to keep them all there and load them as you play and travel between areas?

I had the 360 and Oblivion/FO3 were fantastic performance wise. It was NV for me on 360 that was a file save data corrupting, falling through floors, getting stuck in walls, companion losing, load times up to 3 minutes pile of utter garbage.

NV is my least favorite Fallout next to 4, but it's purely Bethesda's fault because my complaints are all gameplay related. If it was remastered competently or I played on PC I'm sure I'd have enjoyed it a lot more.

That's not all of it. It's all those little fixes and patches. Go read the list of the changes done by both Unofficial Patches. So many quest lines can easily be broken, etc. Crashing is a problem sure. But there's so many omission and bugs and stuff that's flagged incorrectly.

Bethesda are fucking terrible at fixing anything. I got the Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim 2 or 3 months after it came out and there was still a massive game breaking bug when you go to hand the Apocrypha to Storn Crag-Strider and the game just fucks off. Instead of opening the book and getting stabbed with tentacles as was supposed to happen, Storn just stood there. Forever. And because it's suppose to be a cutscene of sorts where all control is removed from the player I couldn't do shit.
Had to get a stopgap fix from the Nexus until Bethesda could be fucking bothered to release a patch to fix the fucking thing.

Their success has made them lazy as fuck. Even lazier than before, if that's at all possible.

Bethesda didn't. The company that sells the rum did. They bought a license to use the Fallout name. There are many fuck-ups within the game/around the game that can (and should) be blamed on Bethesda, this is not one of them.

They're the ones who licensed their names to scammers. It's their trademark on it. They own the mistake.

Or play on a better console
