Fallout Equestria, by Kkat / Kkatman - fascist sex horses and the insane fanfic writers powering their existance

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I think part of it is autism.

No, actual autism.

They literally don't get that novels are of a certain length, or a range of lengths, for a real reason. First is dramatic pacing and all that, but second is that it is out of some degree of respect for the reader's time, and that writing is essentially a social act intended to communicate. Writing a "novel" millions of words long misses the point of a novel.

Even ridiculously lengthy works like the Gor series respect the general idea of a novel being something you can read in a reasonable length of time, and while there edgy and retarded as all shit, it's a series of throwaway novels with a cult following. (And one of the first of the "modern" autist cult followings of degenerates who try to live based on some freakish ethos taken from the novels, but that's another story.)

Writing at that length and calling the result a novel is, as you point out, completely self-serving.

Or so I'd think if there weren't, apparently, actually a following for this insane shit.

I call any following an accidental side effect honestly, since the standards of most people who read fanfiction don't exist. No matter how garbage the product is on FF.net, Fimfiction, or any other webzone that produces it, there will be people that will masturbate furiously, even if the author couldn't give the slightest shit about what others think.

I mean really, it takes a certain level of incompetence and arrogance (Black, Dobbo) to NOT have a following on the internet, so long as you produce content at least on occasion.

Kkat finally got himself a thread. I remember him back on the old WotC forums. Although I didn't interact with him enough to really see how deep his psychosis went, he was obnoxious as all fuck. He's one of those people that thinks if you're good at math you're inferior to artistic people. Also if you're good at math you're automatically not creative and should let creative people run things. That sounds really random, but the whole D&D scene is full of people like that.

Not really surprised he's writing edgelord MLP fanfiction.

Who? Let me google that
http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Nurgle

Huh. I like him better than Celestia

About a year ago, I was out having a few drinks with the guys, when in walks Nurgle. He bought drinks for everyone in the bar. When we were all too hammered to drive home, he loaded us all up in his old Mazda and bused us around town until we all made it back home. And when that cop pulled us over and tried to make trouble, Nurgle boiled his eyes out of his anus. Nurgle is a great guy.

With Fallout 4 imminent, I decided to check out the beast itself. And to tell you the truth, while it is bad, there is still a little bit of merit to be had in it, like a few rough diamonds in a pile of shit.

Kkat is a man who loves words. He wants to describe every last fucking bit of detail, without any real rime or reason, even if it is dragging the fic down with it. As a result, the story can really be shortened by half if he just realizes that he doesn't need to slap exposition and SAD in every corner of F:OE. Oh, did I mention the SAD in it? Even in the most emo entry in the whole series, Fallout 3 (where this fic takes a lot of "inspiration"), there is still plenty of light-hearted and dark humor abound to make the game less hopeless and give it the Fallout feel. Kkat goes around telling us how screwed the world is, with little to no humor to brighten the situations at hand.

And of course, the characters. Lilpip is a bitch throughout, and yet we are told that she is the HEROINE and that she is always RIGHT and that her BS is fine because.... because. Even though the canon version of the Lone Wanderer (lolpip's counterpart back at Fallout 3) wasn't the greatest person in the world, he/she still took the best choice for the wasteland, no matter the sacrifice, as well as trying to help a decent amount of people as well as the Brotherhood of Steel. Lolpip doesn't do the right thing half of the time, and while she does do the sacrifice, it doesn't feel as noble as Kkat intended it to be.

But there is good stuff in it. The ending, while tacky at places, it at least gets the point the Fallout series wanted to make: That forward is the only place to go, and that a world devastated is still a world worth living. Take its final line for instance:

“In a world filled with misery and uncertainty, it is a great comfort to know that, in the end, there is a light in darkness.”

Cliche? Yes. But it still shows some of understanding of the concept.

Enough of my sperging about it though, so I'll stop here.

Edit: Even Kkat ripped-off the last line, apparently. Well, looks like my low faith on him has taken an even greater dip.

So reading from this thread, I gather that lolpip (thanks, project after!) is what happened when you decided to play Fallout games like a person with bipolar disorder and severe cognitive dissonance.

Another thing:

Our resident Fallout speculator Mr MattyPlays hates FoE and the brony community. Good for him, I say. But it has let him into some trouble recently, as he has mocked them in a livestream. He had to issue an apology to his fans after that, which was relatively decent:

Here's what our resident furry/brony dipshit Kkat had to say on the matter:

Since that time, Matty drew the ire and outright mockery of the larger Fallout fandom (particularly amongst the Reddit community) for his videos and attitude. In reaction, Matty helped form a community dedicated to being a place where gaming fans, particularly those of Fallout, could come together in a spirit of love and tolerance -- a place where everyone would be accepted, sheltered from the hatefulness that permeates much of the internet. Not long after the new site, named Sugarbombed, was established, Matty came to realize that he had treated bronies just as badly as the larger Fallout community had treated him. Earlier this week, Matty offered an apology to the brony community for his unacceptable and cruel behavior. He may not ever be a fan of Fallout: Equestria, but it warms my heart to see him learning and taking the core message of the story to heart anyway: be better.

Yes, even though Kkat goes against his damn words when it comes to criticism.

Fuck off, Kkat. Fuck off.

I'm sorry, I must've missed that message underneath all that lesbian sex, fucked up moral, hypocrisy of the "heroes", hilarious racism and the general stupidity of that story. Also, the story is just a ripoff of Fallout 3 anyway

It's not even a ripoff, it IS Fallout 3 with the edginess cranked up to 11 and some stuff from the other games crammed in (The Master from Fallout 1, the deadly cloud from Dead Money, etc.)
God, I hate when fanfics can't even be arsed to write something new. That's so pointless when you do that. Doubly so when you can't fucking pace things. I honestly wouldn't care if I lost a fanbase like this; they have no worth and seem to be assholes.
