Hollywood and the media machine isn't, so get ready for more of these things.I'M just tired of "adaptations".
Not that I know of. Outside of maybe the one where the NCR expands?Unrelated but here's a NV and Fallout 2 related question: Is there any set of endings in Fallout 2 that makes sense with the NCR becoming like it is in New Vegas?
And over time peaceful, negotiated expansion became the NCR showing its neighbors its civilized ways... THROUGH VIOLENCE.Not that I know of. Outside of maybe the one where the NCR expands?
"Your help with Vault 15 launched the New California Republic's push to civilize its neighbors. Though there were many more obstacles to overcome, the NCR now had a foothold into the northern wastes."
Well, war never changes. And over time peaceful, negotiated expansion became the NCR showing its neighbors its civilized ways... THROUGH VIOLENCE.
Pretty much, yeah. I mean, can't rebuild society withoutWell, war never changes.
IIRC the alien ship in Fallout 1 was canon, whereas stuff like TARDIS was from Fallout 2.In fairness, the FO3 crashed alien ship is itself a reference to the original Fallout, which had a dozen or so very rare desert encounters (how likely you were to find them was based on Luck), the most famous of which was the crashed UFO with a couple of alien skeletons ... and the Alien Blaster, far and away the most powerful one handed pistol in the game.
Of course, in Fallout the aliens were just a gag, like the disappearing TARDIS or Godzilla's footprint with a crushed corpse in the middle of it. It was Bethesda that gave us the retardation that is the Zetans and all the lore-breaking stupidity that goes with them.
The bundle is for sale on steam for $14 this weekend, so I just got them all.Far Harbor is definitely worth it, both for the loot and the location. The writing is, IMO, good enough that it'll make you angry the base game wasn't written similarly.
Nuka World is a lot of fun to explore, and it gives you what amounts to an alternate settlement system, but you're basically forced to play as a Raider if you want to experience a lot of the content. YMMV how irritating that is.
Automatron is in my opinion underrated. Making killer robots is a hoot. Pretty thin on the story, just enough to justify the addition of said robots, but it's fine for what it is.
Vault Tec Workshop gives you a gigantic cavern to build a Vault in, but how to actually build that Vault is frustratingly unintuitive, like much of the settlement system in general.
The other two Workshops are pretty much worthless. One of them has weapons, armor, and ammo factories that's an interesting addition in concept, but by the time you can build them you're liable to have loot falling out of your ass anyway.
While I agree, (and they will, don't you worry.), I'm very curious how Wasteland 3 leads to boring. Do you mean gameplay wise?IIRC the alien ship in Fallout 1 was canon, whereas stuff like TARDIS was from Fallout 2.
Also, based on how boring I find Wasteland 2-3, I really hope NVfags don't suck the silly out of Fallout.

Like most games of current year, it's fine for what it is but it's shit when compared to its predecessors. My internet is slow as shit and my computer is a potato. Is it worth wasting days of my life downloading Fallout 4 and downgrading or is it really as bad as all the hype says it is?

Gameplay and progression are massive improvements compared to the other FPS fallouts. Gunplay, while not amazing, feels so much better. I also prefer progression since it gives you more immediate and noticeable improvements.
Writing and quest design are just as bad as everyone makes it out to be though.
Yeah, but doesn't Boston run about as well as Blighttown did?I'm going to go against the grain and say the world is actually a lot of fun to explore. As far as wrecked cities go, Boston is more immersive and seamless than the DC ruins, and way more extensive than anything in New Vegas.
The writing is mostly shit, but some of the companions are well done. Nick Valentine is a top tier Fallout companion, and a few of the others aren't far behind.

If you have a modern rig you should be fine.Yeah, but doesn't Boston run about as well as Blighttown did?
Don't worry about it. Basically an area in Dark Souls 1 ran like ass and I was just drawing a parallel. People say Boston has a low FPS and I'm worried it could lock my computer up. I'd hate to get into the game and find out I can't enter half the map.I have no idea what this means. Not snarking, I honestly don't know what you're talking about.
I got 4 whole gigs of RAM, lol.If you have a modern rig you should be fine.

I've had some issues with downtown Boston. If you get too much going on like fights between raiders or Gunners and super mutants, especially if you run as fast as you can past all of it, you're risking a crash as the game tries and fails to load all those encounter-heavy cells in and out of memory.I don't have a top flight rig, but honestly Fallout 4 is probably the modern game that runs the best on it. Very smooth animations, nice framerate. I never had any problems.
I, uh, do have more RAM than you, though.
I have only a shitty laptop at the moment, tried to run F4 on it. My advice: don't. The game looks like dogshit in low res. Not in a "bad graphics" way, it's plain ugly. Just play an older game that your pc can run.My internet is slow as shit and my computer is a potato.
