Fallout series

I never got it either when the Enclave was literally comedically evil even ignoring shit like that prank call or Sergeant Arch Dornan.
Horrigan killing BoS dude and then asking "whats for lunch" is super awkward, though.
Definitely the best contender for the worst joke in F2.

Watching the Internet Historian LP of 4, I forgot how bad it was. From how it tried to appeal to social justice with Synths (despite ghouls and Mutants already being frequently discriminated in the rare cases theh were intelligent). The horrific dialogue. Or how you go ruining a treasure trove of information rather than just repair the communication disconnect.
Fallout 4 wasn't woke as much as it was a victim of being written by Emil. We could have gotten something really cool out of the Railroad/Institute, but instead we got the most boring allegory about white guilt I've ever seen. I tried doing a Railroad playthru once, but I just couldn't do it. When the airship was blown up and the time to nuke Institute came about, I backstabbed every single Railroad member(including Deacon, who I had to hunt down across the entire map since he was in a settlement). It's very disappointing that instead of behind enemy lines resistance fighting and cool secret spy shit we get essentially a thousand different radiant quests that are given to you by a robot instead of Preston, and some sperging about synths.
Institute is a little better, in it having an actual main questline and some really cool ideas/aesthetics, but the writing, characters and worldbuilding are destroyed thanks to Emil. Fallout 4 might try to implicate some social justice themes, but aside from the thin allegory of the civil war underground railroad, they have nothing. The don't want to offend anybody, and the story has no bite. This can be said about the entire game, poor writing and storytelling is a big issue in Fallout 4, that's why most people just ignore the factions and the main quest entirely.

The aesthetic of FO4 is just so off, soulless and cartoony as well.

Welp.

Fallout 1 remake is dead

Fallout 2 remake is still on according to the devs so. Still have that. (2 is better anyways)

Yeah, makes total sense. Let's cancel the remake of the much smaller more attainable game and instead focus on the one that's twice its size. Surely though we couldn't even finish the first one this one will go much better!

Yeah this project is fucked. There's no way. Calling it now they're going to announce project Arroyo's cancellation too in the coming weeks.

shout out to my boy Craig Boone
you have a guy who's broken up about being a war criminal I mean I wouldn't call killing the subhuman drug dealers of the great khans really a war crime bitter root did nothing wrong.
The possibly lesbian conflicted scribe

the hard drinking cowgirl tomboy who's trying to drink away her problems

you have Rex who's the best companion if you take other companions you're a communist

your grandma Lily a crazed old lady following you around

you get the depressed middle-aged man who can't reconcile his aging self with the change in wall so basically a boomer

you have Eddie for the people who don't like listening to other people talk when they're playing video games

then you have one of the developers self insert and arcade gaining I know Chris Avalon who straights insert is a closeted homosexual whiny liberal philosophically illiterate scientist

in fallout 4 we get a bunch of companions who I literally don't care about and forgot all of their names

DLC companions are much better than the vanilla ones. Ada is a robot and she doesn't really care what you do, you can also build your own robot and decide if it talks, beeps or is just quiet. Longfellow in Far Harbor is a bro and a perfect drinking buddy, where as Gage in Nuka World is a perfect Raider/Evil companion, however he's not crazy or stupid like most Raiders and feels right at home as your second in command. The companions in the base game just don't do it for me, I guess the synth companion is fine too since he's just a black terminator and won't cry about his feelings or whatever.
But yeah, nothing on the level of what we've seen in Fallout 2 or New Vegas.

I always wore with goris sadly he got shafted as well as all of the intelligent death clause there should be an option to save them I need to save the intelligent death clause no they're not too wacky for fallout they're just the right level of 1950s science fiction

it's the idea of the Legion that makes it appealing rather than actually playing it.
i mean just story wise even if they did give you all of what they wanted with Legion, you don't seem to have a reason to visit their area, its not like the New Vegas area where a majority of major quests are "due to shortages because the NCR is incompetent we need you to do X" like the Legion would be crime (aka enemy) free and people would be fine overall.
We hear about how safe the roads are especially for traders under the Legion
and how fun would that be for gameplay
Fallout tribals being a racist depiction
in general racism doesn't seem to exist in fallout, the founder of the NCR is blatantly brown skinned, as is that bitch from vault city. tribal seems more like a state of mind. Whereas in Wasteland people still hold the same views they used to, of course a lot of that might be attributed to most people in fallout being descended from vaults so it was probably the top 1% of any race and it being a quarter millennium past the nukes whereas its barely a century past the nukes in Wasteland and because of the nuke targets the tribals seem to have thrived.

Thats one of the sillier things to nitpick the fallout tv show about and that i'm more shocked they don't talk about in-series. We have multiple brown woman leaders of every major faction in fallout 2, it would have been a great gag to go "i don't think i can trust a white dude to lead, our best leaders have always been brown women" and it to be fucking canon. It reminds me of how fucked up Wheel of Time's tv series is despite it being the original "woke" series of the 2000s whose major premise is a world where people understand the patriarchy and the male predication towards violence and subverted it.
Fallout 1 on the 3DS:
unironically isometrics are probably the best games to port to a DS because of how the duel screen is set up, same with the WiiU.

I noticed a new (?) trend of people shitting on honest hearts of all things, calling it racist or shitting on the characters. Is it over for us vegas chuds?
Good, list their usernames. If they have never even touched the franchise, it will be easy to tell. If they are some sort of supposed superfans, you can easily ignore everything they have to say from now on

They started to film the second season a couple of days ago.
There's no way they can equitably explain what the fuck is going on wit the lore.
It will be horrible mess but retard will eat it up because they brains cant contain a thought for more then a minute to proccess what they saw.

Just gonna post this again

I haven't been keeping up with Fallout fandom or /fog/ lately, especially due to the new cuckchan rule that will probably keep me away from there for good, but last I checked this image made all the right people(ie tourist niggers and bethesda fanboys) really upset. If you're not going to follow this as your bible, at least repost it when people ask what the "status of the lore" is.
Honestly, as long as you ignore Fallout 76 and the TV show, you're all good. Fallout 4 and even Brotherhood of Steel have arguments that they don't interfere with the lore...too much, altho you will have to mod some things out, like kid in the fridge/nuka cola enclave power armor/pre war jet, but at least you have that option and the rest of the game isn't too bad in that department. You can't mod out lore inconsistencies in Fallout 76 or the TV show.
