Fallout 2 remake is still on according to the devs so. Still have that. (2 is better anyways)

Let me guess, too many trannies on the project not doing anything but politicking? No, wait, they have too big of an ego to say that it's not going to work out so...who knows. Too many dev teams infight and collapse for too many reasons.

Why? Probably trannies
Oh well, at least unfinished build will be posted, so people can finish it themselves. Fallout 2 remake is being made by Russians, so smaller chance of infighting.
And even smaller chance of trannies...right?

It's very strange to me how attempts at Fallout 1 remakes for New Vegas and Fallout 4 got cancelled while Fallout 2 remakes for both are seemingly chugging along despite Fallout 2 being twice the size of 1.

The answer is trannies, it always is. Fo1 is the first game in the series and NV is the most popular, so both attract clout-hungry retards and autistic troons like flies to shit. Fallout 2's team is probably being manned by actual fans of the series.

Which is deeply ironic when you remember that the most insane fans in places like No Mutants Allowed (used to?) hate Fallout 2.

They felt the humor was out of place if I recall.

A lot of people don't like F2 because devs clearly had too much fun doing some of the jokes, and it did pull you out a bit.
But man, look at this and tell me that it wasn't funny.
Yeah, F1 has a more clear and comprehensive story, but F2 is just a better video game.

Honestly that's one complaint about the Bethesda games I never got. "Fallout was never funny it was always serious!" granted the jokes in Fallout 1 and 2 were usually funny but to pretend Fallout was NEVER FUNNY is just lying to yourself.

Well, FO1 has his own set of jokes but the atmosphere & ambience in general is dark and depressive as fuck.
FO2, with New Reno, the car, and many gameplay upgrades at cost of overall seriousness is a nice trade.

I never got it either when the Enclave was literally comedically evil even ignoring shit like that prank call or Sergeant Arch Dornan.

Horrigan killing BoS dude and then asking "whats for lunch" is super awkward, though.
Definitely the best contender for the worst joke in F2.

Watching the Internet Historian LP of 4, I forgot how bad it was. From how it tried to appeal to social justice with Synths (despite ghouls and Mutants already being frequently discriminated in the rare cases theh were intelligent). The horrific dialogue. Or how you go ruining a treasure trove of information rather than just repair the communication disconnect.
Fallout 4 wasn't woke as much as it was a victim of being written by Emil. We could have gotten something really cool out of the Railroad/Institute, but instead we got the most boring allegory about white guilt I've ever seen. I tried doing a Railroad playthru once, but I just couldn't do it. When the airship was blown up and the time to nuke Institute came about, I backstabbed every single Railroad member(including Deacon, who I had to hunt down across the entire map since he was in a settlement). It's very disappointing that instead of behind enemy lines resistance fighting and cool secret spy shit we get essentially a thousand different radiant quests that are given to you by a robot instead of Preston, and some sperging about synths.
Institute is a little better, in it having an actual main questline and some really cool ideas/aesthetics, but the writing, characters and worldbuilding are destroyed thanks to Emil. Fallout 4 might try to implicate some social justice themes, but aside from the thin allegory of the civil war underground railroad, they have nothing. The don't want to offend anybody, and the story has no bite. This can be said about the entire game, poor writing and storytelling is a big issue in Fallout 4, that's why most people just ignore the factions and the main quest entirely.
