Fallout series

To add more context, she's the plague of Nexus. She makes house mods for Skyrim and FO4 that are decent but not very impressive and yet is somehow lauded as one of the greats. For this reason, many suspect that the CEO of Nexus Mods wants to fuck her.

I remember when Bethesda distastefully announced a "return to (this specific area of) Fallout 3" right after they DMCA'd (?) the Capital Wasteland project, Elianora was a member of this team of modders making Bethesda's Creation. Obviously this went as well as you'd expect, people largely shat on it and were furious of Bethesda's behavior and how they barely waited to announce this creation right after they went after Capital Wasteland (to be fair, I believe they were reusing official Bethesda assets).
Elianora, in her infinite wisdom, decided to attack anyone who thought this was distasteful with the usual buzzwords someone uses when they think people are personally attacking them, "anyone who is complaining about this is racist, sexist, transphobic, etc." This was as confusing to people as you'd imagine.
Worse, it is a biological female that willingly looks like a troon. Walking personification of the Bethesda modding community.
Lol yep, I thought they were a troon for the longest time.
It's so weird how Bethesda treats Fallout like it's their disposal D tier franchise when it's quite literally their second most popular franchise.
Because they didn't make it, Interplay did. No matter how well Fallout succeeds with normies, no matter how much money they make or how many games they develop that is made only by them with no one from Fo1, Fo2, or NV a part of it in any capacity (probably), it's not their original IP. Trust me when I say that it makes them seethe. Spite is a far greater motivator than greed.

Edit: on that note I'd like some mod recommendations. I don't care that much for visual stuff.
Someguy2000 made Russell, the only good companion mod on the Nexus. His quest mods are also the best, the New Vegas Bounties series in particular. They're also old as shit and buggy as hell. One guy, RoyBatterian has been trying to remaster all of his mods and New Vegas Bounties LE is pretty good. He really likes Cormac McCarthy.
People will tell you that Th3Overseer is good or comparable. His mods aren't terrible, but his writing feels immature compared to Someguy's.
There's also A Tale of Two Wastelands, a huge mod which allows you to play FO3 and NV at the same time if you so choose. I'm not sure why you'd want to. Maybe you like NV's story better but prefer the oppressive and lonely atmosphere of 3.

it's the best way to play fallout 3 because you have iron sights and your bullets don't make u turns when you fire them with low gun skill

You joke, but it's a really strong part of FO3, and deserves praise. FNV is a game that feels often like it takes place incidentally in a post apocalypse, but FO3 really captures the ruin well.
I agree, for all it's faults Fallout 3 has a fantastic atmosphere and has the best open world exploration out of any Fallout game. Fallout 4 comes close second, altho mostly due to hunting for junk being such an integral mechanic, not because you actually want to explore.

Roy is a hysterical cunt who loves creating drama and I am pretty sure he's already quit the modding scene. If he's not, then he won't be sticking around for long, you can only re-make Fallout 3 so many times.

I'm not joking, atmosphere was about the only thing Beth got right in 3.

That doesn't set him apart.
Also to clarify, the liking Cormac McCarthy thing is in reference to Someguy, not Roy. Roy might too, I dunno.

The Enclave quest mod for New Vegas still works Damn well.
Scripting is impressive even today and I'm highly amused the mod author keeps using the same Kronk reference character with every edition.
Like an autistic signature.

Has anybody played Autumn Leaves? I remember hearing about it but I've also seen what the mainstream Nexus audience likes.

New Vegas feels like a society that's rebuilding (or even full on rebuilt) because it is, timeline wise. It has been hundreds of years since the apocalypse. Getting to New Reno was always the highlight of Fallout 2 because you realize "oh shit, society is back." 3's atmosphere is great but there's a reason everyone mocks Bethesda for thinking the franchise is only about hobos living in decrepit ruins no matter how little it makes sense with the timeline. The TV show just confirmed what Bethesda thinks of the franchise and it unfortunately brought that shit to the west coast and now probably New Vegas with the next season.

I feel like a bit of an oddball for liking FO4 the most of the 3D Fallouts just because I can build robots (via the Automatron DLC).

I'd say New Vegas ties with it too but I enjoy it for different reasons (really feels like a CYOA story that successfully got a video game adaptation).

I'm about to get to the point in the game where I can recruit several companions via an exploit with Veronica. I'm sure my old xbox will appreciate all the added memory strain it has to endure from that point onwards, lmao. Last time I did this, years ago, the game didn't even last an hour before it crashed(it usually can go for 2-3 normally).

RobCo Certified for NV/TTW lets you build your own robots too. It also lets you repair broken ones and even become a mad scientist and turn dead bodies into slave cyborgs, if you want. I'm pretty sure this was Bethesda's inspiration behind Automatron anyways.

Someone uploaded several of the Operation Sunburst videos edited together, I really look forward to more SODAZ's work even if he's a weak Korean.

Having 4 different companions isn't as bad for my Xbox as I thought it was. The game still crashes more often, but hey the game will crash on consoles no matter what you do, that's to be expected. Having several companions does make many fights easier, for example I rarely had to do anything in Vault 34 since my companions killed the ghouls that spawned in before I could. On the other hand, fights with tougher foes like Deathclaws, Cazadores or Legion hit squads are easier, but can still leave me or my companions wounded or dead if I am not careful. Cazadores especially need to be taken care of quickly, if they sting your companion their health will drop extremely quickly since poison stacks with every sting and you cannot give them anti-venom. I've heard that if you bring Datura Antivenom from Zion they WILL use it, but I just couldn't be bothered to carry that with me when I was already immune to poison thanks to Old World Blues.

Has anyone here tried the new Uranium Fever modlist for TTW? Not sure whether to go for that one or Begin Again. Been a long time since I've played TTW
The new TTW is pure slop, so I don't even pay attention to the current TTW modding scene. All I can tell you is that people have been intentionally deleting old TTW version mods and Roy has been trying to delete links to old TTW versions. He got very asshurt that people didn't like the new version so he's trying to shove it down everyone's throat, and everybody in the modding community is falling in line with it since I guess being they're nigger cattle. Any community that intentionally erases it's own history doesn't deserve to be remembered or taken seriously.

Note to everyone; do not try and post stuff when you're barely conscious. You're liable to get something critical wrong, and everyone will justifiably laugh at you.
