If the Enclave ever returns as a major faction (like if that branch in Chicago mentioned in New Vegas still existed), I'd like to see them try to win the hearts & minds of the local population instead of trying another genocide. They had two devastating defeats within 40 years of each other (three if you consider the Scorchbeast business in 76), so whatever's left could consider slowly opening up to the Wasteland as a parallel to the Brotherhood in the original Fallout.
I feel like thats what the F3 Enclave intended to do, what they wanted was to take over project purity and declare to the wasteland. "The Enclave is here, join us today!...We have clean drinking delicious waaaateeeer!"
Again, this branch didnt want to wipe out wastelanders, they wanted to rule over them as a legit government (not that Im saying they were benevolent but I dont think that they would go all nazi in anything but name like in F2.)
I find it difficult for the Enclave to do so unless they do it in a relatively isolated location since news of the Enclave from the NCR and Capital Wasteland corners of the country would eventually reach the people they are trying to convince otherwise.
It would’ve been great if we could side with one or the other and kept the brotherhood out of it entirely, especially with an option of betraying dear ole dad.
GIven how James reacts to you legit nuking a town full of innocents, I doubt he will give you a satisfying betrayal reaction.
"My child of mine, wwwwwhhhhy?

"TLW: Cuz you're fat, boi!""
I’d prefer it if they did an anthology and had it based on different NPCs. So show the backstory of different companions before they meet the PC (Vault Dweller, Chosen One, Lone Wanderer, Courier, etc).
I always thought a comic book series with different versions of the courier could be interesting. Sorta like when someone replays the game but with different characters. I don’t think that’d work with the show though.
2. Could be interesting if done right. 3. Would be feasible and would be great if they put in the effort.
I actually think that tactics would be the best game for them to adapt since it’s not canon and people won’t be as mad about any creative liberties they take. It gives them more wiggle room, is more obscure so you could throw in more plot twists, and there aren’t any hardcore tactic fans so any whining will be minimal. If they can do that fine, then people would be ok with an adaptation of any other game.
An episode around Marcus and Fawkes's backstories would be neat. The former more adventurous and the latter more depressing for obvious reasons.
I said tactics because it is a pretty detached setting from the main series and you would have more creative freedom (again, if used well). And its semi-canon so it can get away with a few changes. Besides, it would be an excuse to center it around the BOS from the get go (and unlike what some would say, that wouldnt be Bethesda's favoritism towards them in this case, this is legit how Interplay themselves made it).
