Fallout series

thats their way of saying " we own this serise, we can do whatever we want with it and its nothing you can do about it. get a life incel"

its all about power and control.
I disagree. I think the much more plausible idea is that they would just wanna retread old ground because it would be easier since California's lore has already has been set-up in previous games as well as it already having been used as a location multiple times, and that like it, or not, California does have a lot of major, easily-recognizable, and marketable cities were nuked, so making a map based on one wouldn't be that hard to design, or sell to people outside of America either.

However, it wouldn't be a good idea since like I said, California already has been used several times, and focusing on it again would just be a redundant waste.

Apparently Bethesda doesn't like merchandising New Vegas stuff.

And I guess Chris Avalone asked if he could make a New Vegas sequel or an Elder Scrolls sequel spinoff and they said no.

That's all I've ever heard as far as evidence they're assmad about New Vegas
None of this is true, at all.
Bethesda’s merch website is chock full of New Vegas stuff. Like even scrolling down a tiny bit there’s a New Vegas sign item coming soon.

In other News, Chadout 4 enjoyers stay winning, Creetosis is a horrible YouTuber, and Interplay killed the franchise.

No but seriously. Fuck Creetosis. Gimme all the tophats and puzzle pieces.

>Loud mechanical footsteps heard, camera rises from the title, revealing a suit of power armor (the Chinese power armor from Fallout 76) with a tri-barreled minigun, which begins whirring.
Pardon my autism but ACKHTUALLY the Chinese didn't make use of power armor. The stealth suits were their equivalent, befitting their doctrine of subterfuge. The Chinese power armor in 76 is I think non-canon and based on in-universe propaganda.
Though I guess you could argue that the Chinese experimented with replicating power armor.
Edit: Nevermind. I checked the wiki and apparently I'm both wrong and retarded.

inb4 someone points to some card game or something.

I'm still unable to find pictures or video of this Hoover Dam scene. Is it really a blink or you miss it thing or is it being covered up or am I just retarded?
I’m talking about you saying Bethesda hates New Vegas when that’s simply not true.

A lot of people have speculated that this is Bethesda's attempt at officially writing New Vegas out and declaring it non canon.

The shots of the Enclave fighting the BOS at Hoover Dam instead of the Legion and NCR seems to support this.
Not really. Not in terms of the games at least. We'll never see the legion or anything related to it in the series. Ever. Because the legion is literally a slave army who goes around conquering everything, enslaving women and treating them as literal chattel and breeding machines for more slave soldiers. Nobody is going to put that in a tv show, let alone amazon of all companies. The left would collectively lose its shit and you'd have every feminist, womans rights group and sjw group screeching how amazon hates women and demanding they cancel the series, publicly apologize and pay millions to left wings womens groups

this is why you should always side with the legion

I didn't say that though, I said I think Bethesda doesn't give much of a shit about New Vegas and that a lot of New Vegas fans cannot accept that the vast majority of Fallout fans do not give a shit about it and it's just kind of "there".

Just to make it clear, when I mention a card game or whatever, I was trying to make fun of how New Vegas fanatics will bring up a single nothing burger as some sort of hard evidence that Bethesda actually thinks New Vegas is the best game ever and that they're malding over it when really it was just some dumb licensed game to them that they barely even think about.

New Vegas is still regularly one of the most played RPG games on Steam and Xbox. It's one of the most visited online wikis for games. It's still in the top ten for guides most days on places like Gamefaqs (today it is still at ten, Fallout 4 is at 12, 3 is at 34). Despite it receiving zero promotion anymore it basically seems to have incredible staying power. And hardcore fans likely play it more than any other Fallout game as well.

Again, not true since they have all kinds of New Vegas merch on their site and even New Vegas shit in Creation Club.

I don’t think they don’t care, they just tossed it to Obsidian since a lot of them were ex Black Rock Fallout devs as like a “Hey, we just wrapped up Fallout 3, let these guys tuck a fallout game in between while we work on Skyrim.”

Impressive. Very nice.

Let's see Fallout 4

I'm not saying that New Vegas doesn't have a dedicated and passionate fanbase. But "Fallout fans" might as well be a different group from "New Vegas fans"

So for some reason I felt compelled to reinstall Fallout 4 just before Christmas and decided to start messing around using Maim, Scourge, True Damage and an unlevelled world mod among other things and honestly it has been a lot of fun so far, it really helps make every engagement feel more like a fight for your life and has been making me weigh if its worth the risk having to fight this pack of raiders or gunners or mutants or if its best that I move around them. I'd recommend it honestly if you wanna make the game feel fresh.

I like New Vegas, I think its the best Fallout game, but holy shit is it overrated. People act like its the second coming of Christ when its not, its just a pretty good RPG with a ton of flaws and issues. And that's before we touch on the fanbase proper.
Fallout New Vegas is basically KOTOR set in Fallout. I can't be the only one who sees this. Especially since Obsidian worked on the second KOTOR game prior to making New Vegas.

On the one side, you have an ineffective, disorganized Republic drowning in red tape-the NCR and the Galactic Republic. On the other, you have a fascist regime that operates with peak efficiency and cruelty-the Sith Empire and the Legion. The latter is on the cusp of victory, but there might yet be hope for the former, especially if the player stands with them.

House and his robots are similar to G0-T0, a crime lord in Hutt space who also uses robots as his primary enforces and serves as a ''third party'' wanting to bring order to a chaotic political landscape. Both men use their positions as men of wealth and power to influence other parties to do their bidding.

The fascists are led by a two-man crew consisting of a visionary and a tall, strong man as the enforcer; Revan and Malak for the Sith, Caesar and Lanius for the Legion. The only difference is that Lanius has no desire to betray Caesar, whereas Malak already betrayed Revan before KOTOR started. The Legion slaughters dissidents, enslaves women, and uses them as rape-slaves just to show how evil they are, whereas the Sith glass planets on a whim just to show how evil they are.

They're fighting over a source of power that gives an advantage to the one that controls it-the Star Forge in KOTOR, and Hoover Dam in New Vegas.

You have a race of armored warriors who are on the cutting edge of technology, they used to be tough shit, but they're forced to hide because they got their butts kicked in by the Republic-the Mandalorians and the Brotherhood of Steel/Enclave.

The Republic side has a class of heroes that was instrumental in their past victories, whose very presence inspires awe in the rank and file; the Jedi for KOTOR, and the NCR Rangers for New Vegas.

Many Fallout fans who bash 3 and 4 and praise FNV as a way to attack Bethesda act like New Vegas was wholly original, yet to someone like me who played KOTOR before it, the tropes and factions are way too fucking similar. I don't see it as a bad thing, in fact, I see FNV as a good standard-bearer for the same kind of RPG goodness the first two KOTOR games and Mass Effect 1 represented. But the Fallout 3 and 4 haters act like Obsidian created FNV out of thin air and created new concepts and ideas that they pulled straight out of their asses, except anyone with a brain and some familiarity with Obsidian's work can clearly see the influence of KOTOR's story all over New Vegas.

I have found out tropes exist.
Your entire post is just stripping the story elements from both games to their most basic tropes which can make any two stories sound similar.

This isn't even going into how many of the ideas for NV came from the already written Van Buren design documents that predate KOTOR.

Bethesda should give fallout to InExile and let them remake/do a sequel to Fallout:Tactics, which was/is set in chicago.

I thoroughly enjoyed Wasteland 3 and felt that it was a game made with passion and love. The soundtrack is pretty beasting as well.

KOTOR is all this nigger has , it's like his security blanket. He crowbars it into every thread he posts in.
