I haven't even watched it yet I feel like I already know everything about it just because it's the same as every other piece of shit show in the past five years.

There was a gay resistance movement against Vault Tec led by a WOMXN POC and she literally said "communist is just a word used for those who are still sane".

This is something that most people on the Farms don't even know about. When will people learn that hatewatching a bad thing, especially unironically, still makes said bad thing a huge success? Can't people just accept Jay Sherman's advice for once?

you do realize it's referencing mccarthyism right? how they'd label people commies even if they actually werent because the government was shit afraid of the idea people having differing opinions to capitalism (also russians or something idk)

Probably because people are social creatures, and if you don't participate in what everyone else is doing or discussing you'll become alienated.

This. Remember when James (Angry Video Game Nerd) said he wouldn't watch Ghostbusters 2016 beacuse he knew it was shit and he would hate it? turns out not only was he right, the amount of seeth it generated was amazing.

Even going so far as the husband for one of the actors going on Twitter (X), calling him a retarded manchild.

Honestly, i almost decided to watch the show myself but went against it since im watching a show already that im enjoying and is not pozzed (watching the shield).
 
I followed the Viva New Vegas guide up to the Base Finish section. There are three mods I did not install because recent complaints in the Posts tab suggest they've been broken by a recent update, either the game itself or other mod dependencies.
-New Vegas Heap Replacer
-Improved Console
-kNVSE Animation Plugin
My game seems to be running fine without them. Have played a few hours and no crashes to speak of. Upon loading saves or exiting interiors nearby ground textures flicker black but this is only a visual bug with no impact on anything else as far as can tell. Don't know what could be causing it.
 
MojaveD, a boomer gamer known for his playthrough of RDR 2, is beginning to play New Vegas. If you don't mind the issues of having an old mind having to play with games for a younger audience, it's quite entertaining. In addition to this, his upbringing in the Mojave area of Nevada and California will bring out stories during the gameplay.

Kreia actually had a point. I have no idea what he was going with Ulysses. His writing's all over the place. A frumentarius, but he doesn't see Caesar handling his tribe like he did every other tribe coming. Fancy view of people as agents of concepts yet doesn't see any in himself. Hates you for the unintentional consequences of your actions that supposedly happened while ignoring his own.

The other DLCs hype him up, and the payoff is...eh. His personal connection with you is easily the worst bit of writing. If he were just some renegade member of the Legion who decided to do his own thing, that would've been more interesting. Make all the mentions of a different courier have more weight. The guy could've been you, but he found his own Vegas or a way to make his own faction: one of the last stockpiles of nuclear weapons in America. He came to the west from the east and you went to the east from the west and other such poetic crap.

I think it's best to see the Avellone characters as mouthpieces of his narrative anxieties given an in universe form. Avellone himself probably isn't like that but he is legitimately worried about the implications of the force in the Star Wars franchise and he does wonder if any faction is really worth joining in New Vegas. It just so happens that when he tried to put these concerns in universe, he ended up with a crotchety old lady and a schizophrenic.
 
They broke literally everything in order to add a few tie in weapons for thr shitty show?

It's almost inconceivable how incompetent Bethesda is.

It's almost like they want people to hate them.
 
Time to wait a month before I can actually play the game again. I don't even have crazy mods, just qol stuff like bullet counted reload and visible holstered weapons. And it looks like the 6 gorillion creation club quests you're now required to have start the minute you leave the vault

I know what they're ostensibly doing, but it doesn't change their heaps of progressive cringe they shoehorned into the show
