Fallout series

This is something that most people on the Farms don't even know about. When will people learn that hatewatching a bad thing, especially unironically, still makes said bad thing a huge success? Can't people just accept Jay Sherman's advice for once?
Velma was a psy-op that proved hate watching is a viable way to make money and that's why Season 2 of that shitshow got immediately primed after the initial reactions.

The Team Lead for Fallout London had a interview with the BBC (yes, really) on the 22nd. Its being brought up and quoted today in articles over the new Fallout 4 update, mainly surrounding how much it fucked over mods for a update that added a half assed Widescreen mode and Creation Club content that doesn't even tie into the Fallout TV show, all it does is put the Enclave into fallout 4.

this was actually frustrating because they were very close to being done, like im pretty sure if they didnt drop the update, fallout london would have released already.
not to mention they added vsync to be mandatory and now it is slightly broken as a result.

They said so in the delay video and in this interview that yeah, it was gonna drop on the 23rd. but now its delayed by who knows how long.

Personally I'm betting about a month, F4SE needs to be updated before the devs can even start to figure out how much is broken, but hopefully the changes the update made aren't that drastic.

My game seems to be running fine without them
I ran into a strange issue last time I played on a mostly vanilla setup where the game was running fine until about halfway through Old World Blues where I started to get a vicious microstutter that plagued my next twenty hours until I went and uninstalled then reinstalled all my stability mods. Which mostly fixed it (but gave me a different problem instead)

So it's possible you'll run into issues later. New Vegas is the only game I can think of that seems to decay in real time as you play it.
Bear and Bull man is so fucking gay. I don't care about your retarded opinions on old world symbols dude.

I forget, was he trying to nuke everybody or just the NCR?
have no idea what he was going with Ulysses. His writing's all over the place.
I half think his hypocrisy is meant to be intentional, since he is basically just buck broken by you on accident and lashing out at everything in a fit of rage, but it doesn't come across that way because they also wanted him to be super cool and unique and special and level headed and intimidating, so it reads more like he is meant to be really cool and thought provoking even though he is basically just retarded.
What is everyone’s favorite non energy gun in New Vegas?
Everyone already took my favorite non-energy weapons so I'll do the opposite.

Laser rifle with tri-beam focuser melts everything with a high energy weapon stat. I can kill deathclaws in about four shots with it. Beats all the ass off a fifty cal.

Because you're a faggot I am going to complain about 4 some anyway. That game's laser weapons suck ass. Energy weapons are my favorite category and 4 shits all over them, especially with institute weapons. A new faction of high tech scientists meant energy weapons could have been crazy fun and full of new shit, but nope, they even reduced the amount overall by treating plasma and laser rifles like fucking pipe guns. Hate it.

The next Gen update also didn't fix the energy weapon calculation bug lmao. So they're even more shit than they should be in the base game.
you really want a foil for the PC
Funnily enough I always felt like Elijah was a better foil for the PC than Ulysses ever was. He is the direct inverse but also a reflection of you. Obsessed with the past but also desperate to wipe the slate clean in the Mojave (giving you a reason to stop him regardless of which faction you'd like to choose) and he even wants to turn The Madre into his own Vegas of sorts.

The only thing he is missing is a direct personal connection to the PC but he doesn't really need one.
don't understand why people who don't like Fallout orbit this thread 24/7.
People are personally slighted by people talking about things for some reason.

I have a weird relationship with Fallout.

I find New Vegas worshippers super gay, but I like New Vegas.

I think the aesthetic around Bethesda Fallout (and all of the pop culture references in 2) is super gay, but I found Fallout 4 to be fun when I played it.

I think it's mostly that I like watching internet faggotry though. It's the biggest reason I come to Kiwifarms, and Fallout has always been a huge source of internet faggotry.

Your very post is interesting to me, as most of the people who claim to "like" Fallout are the ones constantly bitching about how much it sucks.

The problem is that Fallout has one of the biggest split fanbases ever because the direct line of games could not be more different depending on which dev team is leading the charge.

On one hand you have the completely effortless and braindead Bethesda games (mostly Fallout 4) which are made for people who do not like RPGs, then you have the Obsidian game (and arguably Fallout 3 though admittedly that is Bethesda, though classic Beth and nu-Beth are very different) that are very much RPGs with critical thought meant to appeal to people who like those kinds of games.

Then you take New Vegas, a game whose biggest proponents are often literal communist soycucks and I can't really blame people for getting turned off by it as a whole. Though I'd say that this obnoxious New Vegas 'fan' only really began to exist a few years ago with the rise of the YouTube essayist.

It's like five different factions all fighting over the same IP. Personally, I find the gormless normiefaggot who whines about people being meanie-heads over him enjoying thoughtless slop like Fallout 4 or 76 more ever-present and obnoxious, I mean, one has been in this very thread endlessly shitting it up for like twenty pages.

But to each their own.

Well, I am not nearly as invested in Fallout as some of the other people around here. But I think what's happened to Fallout fans must be very relatable to everyone here. That being, an incompetent corporation that's woke as shit coming in and ruining the thing these people enjoyed.

In my personal experience, a series' biggest fans are sometimes the ones who notice and complain about its flaws the most.

It depends on why they're complaining. If they're complaining because they genuinely care and want it to be better, it can make sense.

Indeed. And a real artist thrives in criticism instead of endless praise.
It's been 18 fucking years. Everyone knows damn well it isn't changing and the New Vegas fans need to accept they are the niche.

This idea of honorable autism has become so cringe and is probably the worst thing to come out of the Fandom Menace/Culture War grift.

Considering the Outer Worlds and the Brotherhood of Steel games had Interplay survived it would have still been butchered and gay, probably even worse than Bethesda since they would have really needed the DEI money. And had Obsidian inherited they would have made it turbo gay. I personally think that if Obsidian was given more development time they would have made the game worse not better. The series was bound to die and just being lazily milked is the 2nd least offensive way for it to go. I treat it like Dune where I don't care what Frank Herbert's spawn says he found in the trash can, I ain't reading or believing shit I find too gay.
