Fallout series

@30+GameOvers I'm not sure why you're bothering with FOLON but you have my respect for your dedication.
As to Sawyer's various forum comments, head to the main Legion page on the Wiki and head to the bottom where the sources are.
Ahh, yes I remember now. Along with a few of his other posts. Shame barely anyone wants to take those ideas and run with them, I mean the GECK is jank but compared to a lot of these other projects people got running well it should be easy to get something done with that.
Here's the Dry Wells mod.
Speaking of which. I had that on tracking a bit ago but never got time to look into it. I'm putting the finishing touches on my mod list soon so I'll give it a go.

Yeah, IIRC the original New Vegas design doc had plans for a few Legion towns on the other side of the river so a player could compare them to NCR lands and decide for themselves. We still got Dale Barton though who approves heavily of Legion rule since the roads are safe and taxes are low.

Meanwhile, in Nevada...

Although of course this does make me laugh a bit at all the "Ree, fascism!" talk people like to have about the Enclave, without realizing that, in Caesar's own words, "It means a nationalist, imperialist, totalitarian, homogenous culture that obliterates the identity of every group it conquers. Long-term stability at all costs. The individual has no value beyond his utility to the state, whether as an instrument of war, or production." is the very definition of a fascist state.

Never tried melee before but playing it in fallout4 and its insanely fun/easy if not overpowered.
VATS teleports you onto the target with rank 1 blitz and with a couple of extra perks its just insane.

I'm gonna be honest with that; FO4 melee combat is flawed as fuck, and is mainly because of crits are on vats only, unlike FO3/FNV.

Don't forget that Unarmed players get a guaranteed Furious Power Fist from Swann, a rather easy enemy only low level characters will have any trouble with. This is the best weapon for the class and it's a guaranteed legendary, vs needing to look for good melee weapon drops. Downside is that Unarmed weapons cannot be equipped with Power Armor so that's out.

Cgy95, the guy who made the quest mods The Deterrent and Race to the Bottom made a new quest mod called Suspicious Minds. Just released and I don't believe I've played his mods before so I can't comment on it, if anyone knows of those two mods then feel free to share with us the quality of said mods.
The Deterrent was a pretty interesting mod. Fairly combat heavy but an interesting quandary right at the end I won't spoil. Overall quality was pretty solid. Haven't played the other two, but unfortunately I've already got a hefty mod list.

There's actually a mod looking to do just that called Nova Arizona I think? I'm intending to try it out whenever they finally finish the Functional Post Game Ending patch.

I'll need to look into that. As you say, FPGE compatibility is a pretty big deal.

Hey, didn't know we had a fallout thread here. I don't get why people say New Vegas is unplayable without mods. I did my first run unmodded and it was fine.
Well yes, even on console the game "works" and you theoretically can beat it.
There's just a very high chance of a lot of things going wrong while you're trying to do it without many of the usual fix mods.

Dude literally mercy killed his wife so the Legion wouldn't have their way with her, but also didn't know she was pregnant when he did it. Like, goddamn dude. It kind of explains why he's so fucked up really. If there's anyone that's earned being able to be dark and brooding it's probably Boone.
and he is my sweet precious boy because of that
my courier and him shall have 10 babies who kill slavers after school

Mentioned that before, still have not gotten around to testing it yet. I am quite concerned given how much modders are into politics, especially far left leaning politics, and the recent Redditry makes it worse. Modders almost always shove unneeded and unnatural (their) politics in their shit and miss the entire point of Fallout...well, NV. So I expect the Legion to be quite shit on that mod. Pessimistic I know...

I just crashed a few times, that's it.
Well you're one of the lucky ones since there's quite literally mountains of things that can bug out. From quests not completing to perks breaking, ect.
It'd be a novel if I sat here and listed off all of the known bugs in the vanilla game.

In fact there's thousands of "subtle" bugs too that you probably encountered but didn't even notice because there's just so much shit in the game it's hard to remember how everything is supposed to go and or function.

EDIT: I think there's a couple of perks that just straight up do not work as well.

Played it unmodded for years. while it is playable, it runs and chugs like ass. when you notice the shutter, you cant unsee it and will make you sick to your stomach.
