Yeah, you are both right and thats what I do but I saw niggas saying how Reshader was the bomb for years and all and thus felt the need to try it out since Im starting to mod F3/NV again.

Oh well, maybe it was a blessing in disguise.
"Reshade is the bomb" is cope by people who can't run ENBs, trust me. You see the same thing with Skyrim where people go "omg reshade/community shares is SO much better than ENB and it's so gorgeous" and then you look at the screenshots and it's a fucking mess.

Everyone: Use Reshader, it makes the game looks so good!!111!!

Me: Fiiiiine, Im gonna do it. *installs it*

F3: *black screen once I click continue*

Me: Odd...Didnt even put any shaders yet. Maybe I gotta start a new game *does so*

F3: *black screen after the opening cutscene*

Me: Okay, this is starting to get annoying. I will just turn my computer off and on. *does so*

F3: *black screen*

Me: Alright, fuck this. At least FNV will work?

FNV: *black screen all the same*

So yeah, unless someone has a solution, I will just not use reshader as both games run just fine when I uninstall it. Its not like Im playing for fancy graphics or anything.
ENB's, retexture mods and reshaders are for retard niggers. Just avoid them entirely.

I must say, I legit prefer F3's art style (and NV's too) over the "clean" artstyle they went for F4 and 76. It just had more character and substance to me. Im sure that people appreciated the clean look at first of F4 but you cant help but feel something was lost. I pin this on the tragic passing of Adam Adamowicz.

Since we are on the topic of mods, I just feel like putting a few things out of my chest about it.

1- I hate porn mods in general but it seems so eye rolling to see that stuff in Fallout 3 of all places, where the humans dont look particularly appealing to the eye and, in fact, look grimy and dirty as shit (as they should be given the setting, showers wouldnt be a common thing).

2- I hate when I try to return to a mod I used to put in my game only to find that mf gone. It was a pain to find Darnfied for F3

3- I hate that I gotta have less than 255 mods in my game like a freaking animal

Always did but I guess after years of tempering with the same car engine, you cant help but wish to try to challenge yourself and I did just that.

Man, they are a pain and I just settle on the game as is. Despite everything, Fallout 3 isnt a bad looking game, its not pretty because it wasnt meant to be.

Great news the fallout TV show won best video game adaptation Todd Howard totally vindicated in destroying all established cannon

Cant wait for the normie fans of fallout to milk this for years to come so they will pretend this means that the "chuds" were wrong.

No, idiot, this award is made by the mainstream for the mainstream and what is the most mainstream thing that there is than Amazon? And Amazon was able to make something that looks visually appealing while having none of the charm and spirit of the source material but you will be damned if normies and tourists care about anything beyond the jiggling of the damn keys.

The weird thing about the show is it didn't even feel like Bethesda writing. Fallout 3, and 4 to a lesser extent, have a certain pg13 tone that, while having some quirk still has what try to be moments with gravitas. Vault 101 and Amata, Fawkes and his vault. Hell even the institute for all its retardation is for the most part played straight without much humor. Bethesda fallout, if lacking in depth, at least didn't resort to pure raunchiness.

I watched 5 minutes of the show and the sheer amount of junior high sex humor I saw in that time was bizarre. Fallout can have sex but it's not a shitty seth rogan stoner comedy from 2006. Bethesda fallout writing was poor, but it hardly ever felt tasteless. Rushed, cheap, cliche sure, but rarely crass.

The show's tone was almost like someone was making a spiteful parody.

The mere fact Fallout new vegas was mentioned around Todd must have hurt his ego. that, and being made fun of all night for being a midget

You are not that far off. I wouldnt say parody, because they do want you to take it seriously but they are trying to "convert" Fallout into this, knowing the average F4 normie wont know/care because their understanding of the series is surface level.

Never mind the spite they feel towards Interplay/Obsidian for creating a much more engaging side of the lore than Bethesda ever did. Some want to play devil's advocate and say Bethesda is more incompetent rather than malicious, just letting Amazon do whatever they want but I think thats giving Bethesda way too much credit...Emil's rant about the negative reaction towards Starfield felt like a real "mask off" moment that really demonstrated how Bethesda perhaps truly feels and turns out they are far far more spiteful than you think.

So yes, I do buy that they motivated and approved these creative decisions to symbolically destroy what existed before them so we have no choice but to accept what they make now

But it feels spiteful towards their own writing as well. We all know how they feel about new vegas but the show is also so bizarrely hateful towards Bethesda's own writing in fallout 3.

Maybe it's just me, but Morrowind was probably the best writing in a Bethesda. But that's probably because they got away with a lot more stuff back then. Those early Fallout games are so dark compared to what they are now under Bethesda. Even New Vegas can be pretty dark at times. That kind of grit really makes the world immersive.

"Thanks for not burning down my house, New Vegas Fans"

Anyone that tries to say that Todd is ignorant have all eaten their own words, they know.

It's a good thing that the last fallout game only sold 2 million copies yes 76 didn't sell very well it has a dedicated player base of idiots but the overall core fan base of fallout has checked out since new Vegas

play it unmodded, as God Intended. Every crash a blessing.
I'm planning on using a few mods (like I did with Fallout 4) although for NV it's mostly so I can run the game in ultrawide and at more than 60fps without crashing or rendering issues.
I tried a list of mods suggested by several people and I didn't like the changes, it was too soulless.+

The show was a Redditor's critique of capitalism (capitalism bad, no mention of communism or China being a threat at the time). Jonathan Nolan and his team never cared about the source material.

The TV show isn't canon and anybody who likes it isn't a real Fallout fan. They're not even a tourist like your average Bethesda fanboy, they're just straight up outsiders.
I don't care what they think, all this shows is how low niggercatle tastes have gotten. Hope the second season shits on New Vegas just as hard as Todd does in his dreams, so that we can have even funnier drama surrounding S2 than S1 did.

Morrowind feels darker and grittier compared to later entries similarly how the older Fallout titles do compared to Bethesda slop.

Supposedly Morrowind was written in like a week by a dude going on a drug bender, kinda insane if true.
