Raul and E-DE are the best companions, I usually just deck Raul out in the Remnants armor and give him a marksman carbine. If you know about and have jury-rigging (changes the game completely), you get him tens of thousands of .223's. Repairing his gun/replacing it if it gets lost is super easy as well if you have JR.

does he have that little faith in the courier?
Would you put that much faith in a guy you met a few days ago?
You get the most points for his companion quest by saying you're only here to hear him out and then leave so its not crazy to think he's just paranoid.
HOUSE? YOU'RE DIVERTING HELIOS'S POWER TO HOUSE? DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND, WE CAN GIVE A PITIFUL AMOUNT OF ELECTRICITY TO EVERYONE ACROSS THE REGION!
You distribute the electricity evenly so that people rely less on hoover dam and can be more independent of the major factions. If you think the mojave should stay in the hands of the people who live and built it up why wouldn't you do that?
I don't see the point to recruiting Lily
My pet peeve with lily is how barebones her companion quest is as its just triggered by talking to her after a schizo moment and really amounts to nothing more than "do you let her stay semi schizo with her pre FEV memories or get her to stay on meds and lose those memories".
Speaking of Jacobstown, I've always wondered if it was meant to be a bigger faction like the Great Khans and the Boomers, wherein you'd be meant to deal with or recruit the super mutants to help your side.
Doubt that Marcus would want to risk any mutant living there getting killed by some NCR recruit who really wants to tell his buddies back in the hub about how he killed a muttie.
If they were recruitable for the battle it may have just been nightkin doing some stealth sabotage.

Also what do you guys think is the objective best ending for cass's quest?
You guys go full murderhobo or let the courts deal it out?

The courts, but doing the gun runner's request.
Nothing better than attacking in revenge.
I also usually do the gun runners request but only because i assume it looks worse for the CC to be selling bootleg gr guns and dealing with the legal consequences of the van graff dealings.

Would you put that much faith in a guy you met a few days ago?
He had enough faith to blindly follow the courier on the assumption that he's too stupid to take care of himself, or because he said "let's go help people out!," or if he says "i'm gay btw." This isn't counting the other ways to recruit him like doing some errands for the Followers, or just being liked by them. So I guess it makes sense in the case that you're gay, suave, or retarded.

You distribute the electricity evenly so that people rely less on hoover dam and can be more independent of the major factions. If you think the mojave should stay in the hands of the people who live and built it up why wouldn't you do that?
Yeah, fair enough. I guess his naive demeanor towards how Vegas should be handled just ticks me off a bit too much.

Routing HELIOS' power to the entire region does warn about constant brownouts, which are damaging even for new, well-maintained electronics let alone for ancient shit held together by gum and tape, but that's undoubtedly overthinking it. Still, that's usually the option I go with.

I thought the gore was supposed to be a reference to bloody mess.
Gore is just a key element to Fallout's identity regardless. But it is meant to be kind of edgy and shocking. Blowing apart an NPC is supposed to be equal parts disturbing and comedic. The show makes it entirely comedic, and utterly weightless for good measure.
You can have a bleak, depressing post apocalyptic setting with slavery, torture and starving orphans all you want but if you build the game like a theme park, nobody will remember those parts
I don't know, I remember the bleak atmosphere and more shocking elements a lot more than the wacky shit. Opening that cage in the old school building and seeing a dozen tiny skeletons was very striking. Regardless, I am not gonna dickride F3 too hard.
You can then go on to head canon about possible Enclave and even (though unlikely) possible Institute interference.
I think Institute interference is unlikely seeing that they can barely manage to keep their own place on lock.

My headcanon was always simply that DC got hit with especially dirty bombs. The Chinese wanted to make the capital of our nation utterly uninhabitable for all time going forward or something. I don't know.
also think having the SS take over the institute and have them start actually helping the wasteland is the best ending
Except you dont get to ever use the institute to do that and all their experiments continue.

LOL at not always routing all the power to the space laser that quickly bugs out and stops working.

Sorry to all the Raul fans, but the zombie gets the bullet too. Also, NV should've had a legion companion.
Shame - you just killed him.
Raul is the only companion who has something positive to say about the Legion.
Courier: "How do you feel about Caesar's Legion?"
Raul Tejada: "I don't really have a problem with them. People around here tend to see them as invading marauders planning to burn and pillage the countryside. But I've been to Arizona, boss. Before the Legion, it was a nasty place, so thick with raiders you couldn't trade with a town two miles up the road. Caesar's laws aren't nice, and their actions aren't always pretty. But then, neither am I, but you keep me around."
Also Rex with Lupa's brain maybe counts given Lupa was a Legion dog, but then you've given your male robo-dog a female brain effectively turning it into a tranny.

New Vegas Bounties has surprised me so far.
It is pretty good, make sure you play Someguy's other mods too. Also, he has made some very extensive and very well made new mods under the new name SomeRooster.
Legion dont seem to care about mutants while NCR seems to have a big distrust against them, even when they have some in their ranks. Would have been cool to see a major ghoul or super mutant rangers.
Would have been cooler if there was a Legion Super Mutant companion. New mod idea.
but then you've given your male robo-dog a female brain effectively turning it into a tranny.
Suddenly New Vegas being the tranny game makes more sense.

I don't see the point to recruiting Lily.
Same as Veronica without the Brotherhood key aspect. If you take her off her meds she's even more effective than the punchy dyke offensively, but that takes ages to set up and involves an 80 speech check to even have a chance of starting and then a lot of waiting on RNG. You'll know you've started it when you hear a recording at random from her.

NV should have had a lot more Legion development in general but we know what happened. Eh, give Raul some Legion armor considering he's the only one that actually has a somewhat positive opinion of the Legion.

I like to give him the Armor of the 87th... except for the part where he constantly complains about all the damage its doing to his body.
