are there any "welcome to the ouch" moments in the tv show or is the dialogue servicable for the syfy network?

did i hallucinate a new vegas remastered annoucement? really need one because the controls are dogshit on my rog ally.

Is it just me or the Fallout TV show is basically the Sequel Trilogy for Fallout? Sequel Trilogy even does the same fucking thing by shitting on all the 'progress' done in the Original Trilogy by killing off the New Republic and rehashing the same villain again.

No New Republic vs Yuuzhan Vong kino, instead have Rebels vs Stormtroopers again!

But tbf. At least Disney had some decency to make the New Republic Capital Planet a generic safe-to-destroy throwaway planet instead of it being Coruscant and they never said the New Republic was destroyed (the films only spanned like a few days at most) instead just 'paralyzed after a shocking attack' and there is media set later in the ST that shows the New Republic up and running again (First Order was basically just a short-lived paramilitary/terrorist org like ISIS that sprung up but then got defeated, iirc they were never really Galactic Empire II). Whereas, despite what showrunners will say, they basically did kill off the NCR and removed all the post-post apocalypse elements from FNV and somehow, Enclave and Vault-Tec are back as the main villains now.

Somehow, Todd Howard is fucking MOGGED by Kathleen Kennedy because she only really fucked up personal character plots (aka made Han divorce Leia, made Luke into a joke, etc.) but like the world still 'kinda' progressed even a little.

It is never stated in game that he lives in Shady Sands. He comes from California, for sure, but the radio in the scene mentions the Hub and then refers to the broadcast being based out of Shady Sands, but we never learn where exactly Kellogg is in that memory. Second image is in San Francisco.
It is vague enough. Right now it's just a worrying prospect lmao

I base it on precedent of past radio signals being rather local in their broadcast range, but that's assuming the NCR haven't developed their infrastructure or built up/reactivated transmitter towers and whatnot. The idea they wouldn't is possible because Bethesda.

Dialogue is fucking awful. Past-sections + Norm are the only tolerable parts of the writing, but sometimes you still get flashbanged by awful in the otherwise decent (Boardroom scene season 1 + Bud explaining everything to Norm).

As for remasters: Fallout 3 remaster was in a leak a while back, which was given more validity given the Oblivion remastered was similarly leaked in the same source and then confirmed by its release. Unsure if Fallout New Vegas will get similar treatment.
Because while I like New Vegas, I just do not have the autism to break down how it was woke for the time. Also, you forgot to mention the Cass ending slide thing.

@>IMPLYING makes fine points, the problem is that it's sort of like fujoshi bullshit. If all of the fujoshi goblins who poked their heads out of their stinking holes had been stomped out of fandoms the second they ever showed up instead of being tolerated, we would never have gotten the Kingdom Come 2 fiasco.

Similarly, games like New Vegas lay the foundation for the modern variety of bullshit. Please keep in mind that JSawyer is a Something Awful goon.
These people (Liberals i.e. "talented faggots") got subverted hard around 2012-2015 and have been hexed for a decade or so now. There was nothing consumers/fans could do other than not buy this shit but for a while even if it bombed it was artificially kept alive via ESG loans, thus improving stock value, thus turning losses into not-losses because they still experienced growth regardless of whether they made a loss or return. Regular people similarly couldn't do jackshit about those loans because the actual inertia which spawned those into being was independent of anything your or I could do.

These ideologies do not have permanence because they rely on convulsed bullshit to make sense (it's metaphysics and idealist bullshit) and once they're no longer sustained by people capable of sustaining them (media, politicians, etc), they quickly wither and die. Without a supporting authority, they have to rely on their own understanding of the concept to argue it, which then only reveals they knew nothing about it at all because platitudes and feelings.

People won't like the comparison (because there was legitimate concern from which the craziness sprouted from - much like the other examples I'm gonna list), but this period we're going through is effectively the hyper left-wing version of the Satanic panic of the 80s-90s, or the much shorter-lived (actually left-wing) crusade against violent video games from the mid-90s to early/mid-2000s. There's always some brief respite (2005-on), but then some new shit rears its head we've got to deal with but it does, inevitably, die. This current period started around 2012/13 and is now on its 12th (going onto 13th) year, and it does feel close to ending now (2028-on I think is when this ideological influence will dissipate from corporate vidya).

The next wave of panic might be the inclusion of AI-shit in vidya. Not just assets but, like, built-in chatbots to simulate NPC dialogue or something. Or a possible Conservative backlash to companies overcompensating for the past decade, but I don't think that's going to happen given an earlier attempt this or last year to mount such a movement pretty much died because the retards attempting it had zero introspection.

If the Fallout 3 Remaster comes out and is well received like the Oblivion Remaster, I'm positive FNV will get the same treatment. Whatever your think Bethesda's opinion of FNV is, they aren't afraid to make money from it, and the Remasters seem like rather low risk high reward projects.
Bethesda is still licking their wounds after the failure of Starfield. I literally never seen anyone else talk about the game a few months after launch. It was supposed to be Bethesda's third pillar alongside nu-Fallout and Elder Scrolls but it just never really did.

They will 100% do a Fallout 3 and New Vegas Remaster to make some extra money back and gain goodwill again from normies.

>cucked by a lesbian
>reacts by nuking LA
I mean...
Almost lost his cool there
Caesar has already been ideologically poisoned by subscribing to Hegel,
He didn't even actually subscribe to it as he failed to understand the basics and gets away with it cause hes the guy in charge.
Caesar, should he succeed, be it with him or successors, will evolve into Communism.
Its more likely the legion just starts eating itself faster than under Caesar before it goes communist.
The seeds of caesars ideals are far too deep to be truly removed and any successor is just gonna claim what they want is related to Caesars greater goals for the legion.

Also, you forgot to mention the Cass ending slide thing.
I didn't feel like it was too pertinent but yes, Cass basically soft cuckolds you in the NCR ending with a random recruit which really feels like someone (Avellone) fetish leaking in especially when you factor in the cut shotgun wedding quest you were supposed to have with her. If you played a lesbian character you would have some cute moments with Veronica and her squeeze in the DLC but straight male couriers would, quite literally, get cucked.
Dialogue is fucking awful.
The show also has a horrific case of the characters never explaining shit to each other to move the plot along. I know The Ghoul is a dick and all but when they encounter the slaves he ambiguously refers to The Legion, goes murder hobo and kills one and starts to eat him, which naturally leads to eternal retard/optimist Lucy chosing the other slave over him so that the plot can happen.

I assume even The Ghoul would be like "Listen Vaultie, these here slaves ain't no runaways, they're here to find other people to take as slaves."

But he can't because then the plot wouldn't happen so we just make them talk in vague references for no reason.

Starfield was supposed to last Bethesda ten years of continued support. They released one DLC and are apparently trying to pull a Cyberpunk with the 2.0 update by cramming Unreal Poojeet code into the creation engine.

It's even worse than the Ghoul being vague, Lucy has zero interest in the world outside the vault. She's supposed to be just as clueless as the audience is about the surface and so meant to act as our surrogate, but she's just not playing the role. As a consequence we learn nothing of the setting, which isn't an issue for us, but as a story in isolation what do you know about the world? We don't even learn what the Brotherhood's prerogative is until episode 5, when Maximus mumbles an ashamed explanation about vaguely hoarding dangerous technology - which is what they do, but not why they do it. The Ghoul doesn't even namedrop The Legion by the way, he just vaguely alludes to the slaves being too far West and again, Lucy just looks around like a gormless retard. Believe it or not, moving the plot forward isn't the hard part of making a story, it requires more effort to keep engagement, which is something they can't do and so rely on shit slapstick, idiot humour, and the occasional action scene in lieu of actually engaging dialogue*.

A part of this is the fault of dividing plot threads amongst 4-6 different characters (Goggins x 2, Lucy, Norm, Maximus, and Hank) so we never follow Lucy as she explores shit and learns, so we, as the audience, also basically learn fuck-all about anything. Maximus won't be asking Brotherhood questions because he's Brotherhood, Norm/Hank aren't in a position to reveal anything to anyone at the moment, and Lucy couldn't give less of a fuck. Ghoulie has no questions to ask and the past is basically not relevant to the present besides learning how the Ghoul got to where he is. We learn nothing outside of vague allusions of something, then we'll get a morsel, but it's so empty and not worth learning it's just unsatisfying.

Maybe I'm optimistic, but I think the show will experience a drop-off in viewers and an eventual turn against the show after episode 4 or 5 - that's my prediction.

*Maximus gets 1 decent scene of dialogue in ep 2 and it's the brief exchange with the initiate

Why am I treated like the authority on this? For its time, New Vegas was exceptionally woke, except we called it "progressive" back then.
Because you have an incredibly dogmatic view of wokeness that deems 99% of videogames to be woke. I'm just curious to know what you think of the counter arguments raised to that video I linked about NV being woke.

Holy shit the comments on that video are giving me 5th degree cringe burns, I need to cleanse my pallet.

Nigger.

At some point you gotta consider the actual cuck is you for trying to see being cucked with any female companion
At some point you simply call it lame and move on else you devolve into "a father with a daughter is the ultimate cuck" insanity.

How many faggots worked on NV, exactly? I know Avellone is straight because rpgcodex put out news about his #metooing to the tune of "Breaking News: Chris Avellone is not gay!". Tim Cain is the guy who always came off to me (phrasing!) as still having a grudge 20 years later, but didn't work on NV AFAIK. Josh is so NPC, I'd be suprised he even though about sex ever. Some chick with clown makeup and super speshul snowflake surname works as a writer for Obsidian, but seems to be a natal woman who can't learn how to makeup.

Also, "synthesis" between NCR and Legion would be like if you mixed the contents of a lion enclosure with the gazelle one. Or if you put MS-13 gangbangers in the same room with college town nerds. Lol, lmao even.

sawyer is/was a regular in noted faggot site somethingawful-
even if all aligned there is no way in hell a sequel to new vegas would be good. no chance in hell
