During some panel Emil talked about how they wanted to have a coven of witches who used literal fucking magic but by that point the magic system from Skyrim had already been ripped out of the engine, so we were spared from that retardation by pure chance.

Just providing these for contrast. They would have been a good fit if leaving companions outside the safe room as Vault 22 went up was hardcoded to kill them even on normal, kind of like sacrificing them to the WGS does in the finished game.

Imagine hearing Veronica do this as the gas ignites and then "Veronica has died" pops up on screen.

Sure, sure, mlp and shit but at least one wasnt constantly insulting my intelligence and being extremely spiteful towards the lore. I mean, this thing was just basically a hoshpot of Fallout 1,2,3 and NV's lores and not all of it worked but 1) its a fan work. 2) It is a labour of love at the end of the day. 3) It wasnt fucking constantly winking references at the camera. 4) It wasnt afraid to surprisingly get pretty dark and bleak. 5) its free so you dont gotta pay a cent to read, watch it or whatever. 6) It wasnt actively retconning established lore like its own Red Wedding styled butcher shop 6) It doesnt have rabbid f- okay, uhh, maybe not this one.

The amazon show is such spiteful product obviously made by people who, at best, dont give a shit about Fallout and, at worst, actively despise and thus want to twist it into a mockery of itself because they themselves will never be able to create something that was able to engage so many people and these disgusting ugly inside and out nepo babies know it.

I did warn that this season was basically going to be New Vegas's turn in the humiliation ritual departament and I was absolutely right. Tho I will hold off my autistic tangent for now because Im still writing down my "mini review" of it but know this, this is made by people that no only hate you but hate what you love and they take sick enjoyment in destroying it while being all hugs and smiles in front of the cameras. They are objectively evil and not even human in my eyes the same way they dont consider us human as well.

If you unironically like this as a Fallout fan, guess what, the last part of your title doesnt mean shit because no fan enjoys this and trust me, we were able to handle a lot of shit from Bethesda in the last decade but the amazon series was the straw that broke the camel's back. Im done pretending that I consider anyone that even gives this series the time of day a "fan" because I legit dont give a shit if they claim they have been around since the original game or if they only played 76 and know the rest of the lore from youtuber vids, at the moment you claim any sort merit to this series and its lore assassination, we are done. You are officially a tourist at best to me and an infiltrated deconstructor at worst, in either case, you are part of the problem.

The only slight salvation that there could be is if Bethesda declares this series to be non canon but its seeming like that wont ever happen, which in this case, the only way for us to get even is by making sure that The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 are financial flops when they are released but we ALSO know that it wont matter because shills will just keep buying because in this godless society we have been raised in, comercialism is how they fill said hollow in their hearts. Hell, the moment that we claim for true fans to not buy it, they'll go into full "I fucking love corporations (while also hating them because of my inconsistent confusing politics)" and mass buy these games because thats how they "own the chuds" or some deranged shit nonsense like that.

This is a long way of saying that its fucking over for this franchise and the only way fans can still enjoy it is by completely denying any sort of canonicity from the TV show (and fuck, at this point, throw 76 and 4 alongside it. Maybe 3 can stay, idk...) and absolutely shut down anyone that tries to claim otherwise.

I'm not a super lore guy, straight up magic doesn't exist in fallout right? I know psychic powers do, you had the master, the kid under the overpass in New Vegas, and Cabot in Fallout 4. Does the shaman's ghost in fallout 2 count as magic?

It's just smart game design to reuse as much as you can over making a new version just because. The issue is that Bethesda just reuses without care and doesn't try to clean up what they wanna reuse they just shove it in and if it works they move on.

I like nates voice but that can largely be attributed to me liking his voice work in fortnite stw and destiny. He has his good lines in 4 (i think his reaction to getting noras pod open and vowing to find shaun is great) but he does miss the mark a lot. Hell I'd argue Bethesda got better voice acting when it was all recorded in alphabetical order.

Glowing sea is cool but its also a wannabe the glow. I'd argue that nuke zones in 76 do what the glowing sea wanted to do better.
