No one is upset here but you. The problem is that the lore is often contradictory. Bethesda's Fallouts conflict with the worlds of 1, 2, and New Vegas.
No? I see this said a lot but what does 3 and 4 do besides ruin it's own lore?

Also, don't try and shove NV into that, it makes direct references to Fallout 3 and either NV and 3 is canon, or neither is.

The only reference FNV got from FO3 was coronel Autumn, and was in a DLC.
And Far Harbor had another reference from FNV, specifically Vera Keys.
All the other references are either from 1 or 2.

You do realize you are upset that Fallout lore is being added to a Fallout wiki, right? You can dislike the show, 76, and everything made after the IP was sold off the Bethesda, but that is still official Fallout media.
My main points of contention are how the wiki prioritises the strategy guide for quotation over the game itself for things the strategy guide is reaffirming, but also just pull things out of its ass regarding the use of extracts to support a given body of text. Take the following example from the wiki page on the NCR:
1769371468691.png

Quoted extract "corroborating" the above:
The NCR's economy is based on two resources: its great Brahmin herds, and swaths of land that have been restored to arable condition. These provide the nation with meat, leather, and starchy vegetables. During President Tandi's presidency, regulations limited the number of cattle head and the acreage of fields that could be owned by a single person. Despite constant pressure from the Stockmen's Association and Republican Farmer's Committee, such regulations loosened only a little so long as Tandi was in office. Following her death, however, they eroded until President Kimball overturned them completely.
As a result, the past 12 years have seen the rise of the Brahmin Barons and Agri-Barons: captains of industry who are, by post-apocalyptic standards, spectacularly wealthy. This has given birth to a number of cottage industries, from the rebirth of luxury goods production to 'journalism' that reports on the latest purchases, commissions, and 'life lessons' of the newly rich and famous.
The past 12 years has also seen a change in attitudes towards collective welfare. Citizens of the NCR rarely face significant dangers on a daily basis, and survival is an assumption rather than an aspiration. Citizens are far more reluctant to share food and other resources, and the person who provides services free of charge, whether it's something as quotidian as sewing or as rarefied as surgical expertise, are now the exception rather than the rule.
An added economic strain is the scarcity of salvageable goods. Sixty-five years of scavenging has done a good job of picking clean the wastes of what was once Southern California. Rare are those individuals who can make a living by scavenging and hunting what they need.
A consequence of these economic and cultural transformations has been the rebirth of wage labor. Whereas one's labor was until recently seen as benefittingIn-game spelling, punctuation and/or grammar and belonging to a collective (whether a family or small town), it has now become a commodity. To earn their keep, many citizens must seek an employer and trade the sweat of their brow for Caps.
Citizens of the NCR hold a variety of opinions about these developments. Many boast of their nation's economic strength; others decry what they feel has been lost. Many curse the selfishness of their fellow citizens, usually while pursuing aims that will benefit only themselves or their families. Here in the Vegas wastes, however, nearly all citizens will agree on one matter: opportunity has dried up back home, and to earn a fortune, one must come East."
As you can see, the extract used to support what's said in the picture has no bearing.
Also, apparently the NCR was a communist prior to Tandi's death. No wonder the wiki writers fellate it..

Another grievance is here in the full body of that same extract:

That citation down there, [20]? That's meant to demarcate it an in-game source supporting what's being said here.
What's it say when hovered over?

No, it's also from the strategy guide.

But by far the biggest sin of the wiki is it's slander of President Khan-Killer Kimball as it implies via omission that he wasn't justified in kicking out the tribes attacking the NCR's people.

The guide, and so the wiki, is bizarrely mean spirited on the subject of Kimball. It means his title of "Hero of the Mojave" but doesn't at all explain why the reprisals happened and it makes it seem as though Kimball just woke up one day and decided to kick Tribals out of the NCR. The wiki doesn't even mention Kimball's status as a war hero, when Caesar and House both do.

It's made even more bizarre because the "extirpation" quote is directly lifted from Caesar himself, except they intentionally cuts out Kimball's reason for doing it in both the guide and wiki.

I'm being facetious but I think I made my point. The wiki is very haphazard and selective over what parts of in-game dialogue and external materials it uses to assert something as fact.

That table is very well thought out. But I've been operating on a similar principle as the Wizard of Oz fan club, ever since I learned about them. I'm sure I'm over simplifying but they consider the first set of books to be canon even though it's spread across 3 authors (of which there are 40, damn) but the things after that aren't canon, despite the official publishing and being recognized by the author's family trust. The fan club's self published books though? THAT is totally canon. And I can't help but respect that level of obstinate gatekeeping.

The only reference FNV got from FO3 was coronel Autumn, and was in a DLC.
- EDE's story is tied directly into Adams AFB from Broken Steel, and Arcade mentions Adams AFB explicitly by name
- Veronica makes direct mention of a Brotherhood chapter being in a state of civil war (Lyon's and the Outcasts)
- By far the biggest one, The Wasteland Survival Guide exists as the Survival skill item

OK video from what I watched (about 10 mins)

Guy's problem is he's arguing with people who aren't and never will argue in good faith (as he showed by Creetosis misquoting him) and will never see him as an equal so it's just wasted words and life until one side inevitably reveals themselves to be degenerates (probably Creetosis) and one side "wins".

Its not worth arguing with Creetosis or HbomberGuy over their points because you're wasting 50 hours of your life by: watching the 8-9 hour video, spending hours creating a script, make a video, rinse and repeat when you have to watch the now 20 hour rebuttal video that says "Erm, actually sweaty you're wrong and here's why."

The truth of the matter is that everyone is a loser in the battle and the TVRE AND HONEST Final Solution is to tell both sides to shut the fuck up and play the game.

I have more appreciation for the people in this thread who'd call me a retard for thinking Fallout 3 and 4 are good games because it only takes you 10 seconds tops to do that, I find more happiness in knowing you wasted less limited time on that.

Then stop playing it? It's not providing any entertainment for you so you'd be better off playing something you enjoy. If you think there's something waiting for you at the end or midpoint of 4 that will magically make it better for you, it doesn't exist. If you hate 4 from hour 1 you're still gonna hate at hour 60 when you finish the game.

I'm going to add a small addendum to this, Creation Club content is ranked below spin-off Media, hell it's probably below Grey Canon.
It's funny because I just saw a video about them adding the T-60 Deagle as a Creation Club thing and I've been thinking about that. Anyway, I just found out that for some reason the next episode of the is airing on Tuesday again like the premier. I don't know why.

Every episode has premiered Tuesday in Pacific time, but if you are a East Coast Chud (Based), it's technically Wednesday.
