They'd have to beat the 4NV team to it (not an impossibility but 'next decade' is a lot of time). A Fo3 remaster also has to beat TTW, even in its gay and retarded current state, as well as Capital Wasteland which is considerably further along in comparison to 4NV.
In short, it's probably not happening minus an Oblivion-style UE5 wrapper which would just funnel any actual interest to the modded options since they have to provide untampered files- AND because said UE5 wrapper had hardcoded anti-midrange settings.
Not including the Soulless, who don't matter and don't actually buy these products more than once in their lifetime- Bethesda already gave them Skyrim AE and Reblivion (and Fallout 4 AE Update, i guess), so the pickings of doing it again are slim.
All those updates really got me thinking on whether they were intentional to try and hamstring the modding community long enough for the infinijeets to shit out a UE5master or something. Probably just Retardation On The Level Of Malice though.
4NV is never coming out, supposedly it is a tranny filled team and a shitshow behind the scenes. At best, we can hope that some good assets will come out of it and not much else. The official Bethesda remaster is more likely to come out, since F3R is not far behind Oblivion Remastered and all three use the same engine/similar mechanics.

And the slopmaster vs the Brain Damaged TTW, John 110-Threads?
Also this hypothetical Fallout ThREe vs Capitol Wasteland.

I was thinking today about the inevitable New Vegas remaster that Bethesda will do within the next decade. I'm predicting a few things:

1.) They will Fallout 4-ify everything:
Fear mongering retard didn't play the oblivion remaster
Assuming that the TV show will still be going and not dead and forgotten (which it will become the moment it goes off the air)
Its a streaming service show what fucking air?
unlike the Elder Scrolls, Fallout isn't a dead IP.
I wish they were dead ips so i deal with less retards like you
Shit... Dhatri is an Indian name? I always envisioned him as a chill big nigga. He's even AfricanAmericanOld in the GECK, but that's probably due to engine limitations. Now I'll only ever envision him as a jeet with a homosexual, overgroomed Bangladeshi beard
Lol snowflake
Don't forget, they will likely cut content for no particular reason. Problematic dialogue will be the first to be cut. And branching paths for completing quests will be trimmed down considerably so the nu-Fallout fans don't hurt their brains while trying to navigate the quest lines.
We dont have to make shit up to hate bethesda but you making up retarded game censorship cuckhold fantasies makes me hate you

Why would they even attempt to remaster New Vegas when they still have 3 and 4 to re-releases ? Or Skyrim ? Or they might go complete apeshit and do Morrowind or Daggerfall ? Since Starfield was at best a middling failure and nobody knows when TES 6 will actually drop something in between makes sense. My bet would be Fallout 3 due to a lot of nostalgia and Bethesda still having a decent reputation surrounding its release.
The Fallout 3 remaster will definitely come first; I think there were already leaks coming about it just like the Oblivion Remastered.

Fallout 3 is essentially an elaborate Oblivion mod, so it wouldn't take much effort to recycle the technology. Same thing with New Vegas. Skyrim is too recent and on too many platforms, and the classic ES games or even the isometric Fallout games would need to be remade from the ground up, which is far too much effort for modern Bethesda.

I think you're severely underestimating both the number of console cattle and PC users too terrified to go beyond their downloads folder. Oblivion cost $5 or less on PC and can run on a potato. A literal retard can follow a curated modding guide long enough to fix all the game's major technical issues that also opens the door to rebalances, visual enhancements, and free content that would make it a better than anything Bethesda has made in almost a quarter of a century.

And yet, in 2025 millions spent $40 on the 19-year old game wearing a skinsuit of a modern title. And that was for an Elder Scrolls game, a series that hasn't be produced anything relevant for over a decade now.

We'll see that happen again with Fallout, only with the millions more of the Fallout 4 and 76 playing, show-watching golems chomping at the bit to experience a "modernized" versions of Fallout 3/NV on their Playstation 6s, It's also why I predict that they'll do more to change 3/NV, to appease their vast audience of nu-fans as opposed to ESIV which appealed to an audience that probably hasn't grown since Skyrim Special Edition came out

Already slaughtered, like i said. They tend to one-and-done.
PC users too terrified to go beyond their downloads folder.
These aren't users, these are the Soulless that i already indicated.

*Has to be ran on a potato.

Anecdotal experience says that this is unfortunately not the case. Then again they were all broken by the military, so that's probably not helping matters.

I think you're a doomersperg and vastly overestimating what jeets can do while keeping the game functional. Need i remind you of the credits of Slopfield?
The hilarious part is that the only group that's even remotely capable of doing what you suggest would probably not do it in the way you predict (see also Fallout 76 post-drama in general).

Already slaughtered, like i said. They tend to one-and-done.
I disagree. The time between releases + different fanbases and game series + significantly greater volume of Fallout tourists will more than make up for the RPG fans satisfied with only one 20-year old game wrapped with UE5.

These aren't users, these are the Soulless that i already indicated.
I wouldn't make the assumption that the people willing to buy a Fallout remaster are 1:1 the same as those willing to buy an Oblivion remaster. And even if that were the case I'd argue the opposite, that the remaster would only whet the consoomer's appetite for more. Otherwise RE4 Remake would have failed after 2 and 3.

You have it all wrong, I agree. Literal retard is a high bar to pass today, which is why so many people bought into O:R.

I'm actually doing the opposite of dooming, my list was wishful thinking. I could care less what happens to Bethesda and their IPs, but I hope and pray they fuck things up in the most hilarious ways possible before they implode in on themselves. I've been entertained by their failures for so many years now - I was only ever offended by the Fallout TV show being used by Todd Howard et al to spitefully stomp on the things more talented people made before him.

Chat, I think Mohnstein really really wants Bethesda to remake Fallout3.
They're definitely doing the Fallout 3 remake. First, they accidentally released a confidential filing that showed a planned release. Second, do you actually think the major sewer leak in DC that will force a major decontamination project on the Potomac wasn't a marketing ploy engineered by Todd Howard himself?

The only retards that care about F3R/FNVR are console peasants, everyone else will just continue playing TTW. Way to tell on yourself lol

Honestly a surprise he hasn't been thread banned yet. I suppose it really does come down to pissing off the wrong people

pretty much this, I appreciate that fans want an official, high-budget unfucking of Fallout 3 but Bethesda has proven again and again that they're incapable of touching anything without turning it completely to shit. much like the Skyrim SE release, I expect that the Fallout 3 remaster - which will almost certainly happen - will introduce a ton of new bugs, break mod compatibility, and only add a few new technical features that modders already injected 10+ years ago. the benefit of buying the new version will be totally dubious and unless you're a die-hard fan of the unmodded game, will almost certainly be something you play for a few hours and then throw back into your backlog, at least until the modders get around to remaking their shit from the ground up just to work on the new version of the game. meanwhile, playing TTW on the currently available legacy version will remain the superior way to play the game.

Oblivion I can understand since it's really old and arcane by this point, and at least there the leveling system was fixed in the remaster. Anything they will do for F3R is literally just poor man's TTW. Funny how I said only retards and console peasants are excited for this port(true), and several regular posters immediately felt attacked, lmfao. Really tells you everything about the modern Fallout "fan"base.

Is there something stronger than an ignore I can do? Can we get super ignore as part of my Kiwi Gold? How about a single threadban a month, can that be in the cards?

Speaking of TTW, any interesting mods you've cobbled together?
