Literally the only thing this shitty mod is remembered for is the crazy shit you can do in it, like flying Vertibirds, and it was all made by one dude. Yeah, he may have also been responsible for the NCR questline, but the devs are acting like the mod wouldn't only be known for furry shit and enslaving a nearly underage girl if it weren't for him. I hope he ports his stuff to base New Vegas just to spite them.

Only Tangientally related, but Nexus just seemingly announced a change in policy, to accomodate a future modlist feature, they quietly announced that they would not fully pull deleted mods and instead keep them in their servers for usage with the list feature, probably for redownloading shit

Tl;dr of a Tl;dr, they will pull anything that violates their policies and mod authors themselves have until August 5th to opt out, which means that they will perma delete their mods and any new ones uploaded will be archived, apparently

Overall this seems great for any casual user but its been kinda hilarious to see all the autistic creators sperging hard that the things they chose to make and upload will no longer be held to their whims and autism when it comes to pleb mod users downloading their deleted 4k horsecock retextures

I expect many creators to chimp out or pull their shit so if anyone has anything from a particularly spergy creator its the best time to archive locally or on torrents

Mod Piracy 1 was a great place to find pulled or paywalled shit but the autists from GUNetwork were angry they downloaded their mods without sucking their dicks on their forums so it got banned and switched with a "more strict" variant which seems to just be old archived mods nobody gives a shit about anymore, so nothing spicy like the first release of the frontier or paywalled mods afaik

Lmao its pretty dead too, its announcements page is just a bot reposting their twitter so nothing new, and pretty much all normie users have jumped ship ala ResetEra so the only ones that remain are troons/fags or mod authors "working" on the rework

The rework will either restart the autism anew the moment a volunteer's loli doujin stash gets found or just sputter to the remaining niche mod users circlejerking mark my words lmao

They didnt scrub anything from the drama days too, when i have the time and autism i can make a detailed overview of what was said but its mostly devs getting shitposted and more circling of the wagons afterwards

To their unintentional credit they did breathe new life into the New Vegas community, at their expense of course but still. Vegas has surged in active players and it’s good to see this game I love being enjoyed by some newfags.

I can see their mindset though, get in the dev team for “groundbreaking” mod, maybe contribute a building or texture. Slap it on the resume, get job at Square Enix and make the next Life is Strange.

To me it sounds like he was making a mod and then a bunch of people hopped on and started offering to help, until it became something else. I could be wrong though.

I wouldn’t mind the crusaders if they weren’t from New Canaan but it breaks my suspension of disbelief because one of my past times when I was younger was studying religions that weren’t my own. I also thought it was odd for the Legion to be in Portland. It’d make more sense if this took place farther to the south.

Bold of you to assume these people believe anything exists in Oregon that isn't Portland. That said, realistically the Legion wouldn't even be in Oregon since its so far away from their territories. They don't even control anything in Nevada, yet they were able to send troops all the way through the North of it to Oregon, and did so instead of flanking the NCR positions at the Dam? It should have been just NCR versus locals and in the more southwestern parts since that's the only way to get to Oregon from NCR territories. If they need an urban set piece the best place would be Eugene. Third-largest city area in the state and closest to NCR territories.

As they say, all warfare follows the terrain. We know Redding is NCR territory since Hanlon was born there, and then its a straight shot marching troops north up I-5 through the passes. There's a few harbors, natural and otherwise, the NCR can make use of the way up there for landings, the best one being Reedsport since that gives them a nice big (relatively speaking) river to ship supplies and troops into the interior. Easy enough to justify the NCR being there as them looking for alternative water sources in case they lose at Hoover. God knows history loves to repeat itself, right?

When I said south I meant like south of Las Vegas. So more along the lines of Southern Nevada or Arizona.

Eugene would make more sense as you stated, but they literally know nothing about the rest of their state let alone the west. I’m a bit biased in favor of New Vegas because I’ve lived in the southwest for most of my life and I could tell that a lot of the original writers knew about the southwest or at least studied it. In contrast, it was apparent that the Frontier writers knew about as much of the Southwest as Jon Snow. I’ve noticed that the few people who apologize for the mod are individuals who are unfamiliar with the Southwest or worked on the project. For me the world building is too jarring for me to be able to play it as a rpg, even if the gameplay was better and they didn’t have anyone’s fetishes in it.

*Edit* they could've even gone farther north of Las Vegas, it’d still be in Nevada, if they wanted to since Las Vegas is already at the very tip of the state. Las Vegas wouldn’t be the only front to the war but I highly doubt the legion could get to Portland. I also felt like the Legion would struggle in colder climates.
