Jesus, is it even worth trying to salvage this thing at this point? Even if they can get past all the internal drama and backstabbing, The Frontier will still be remembered for all the fucked up shit that was in it. Just take all the experience gained from reworking Gamebryo (no really, getting that fossil to do all the stuff it was never meant to do is an impressive feat for any programming position), learn to do proper vetting (any guy going by an animal name and cartoon icon should've been an immediate red flag, for starters), and try to move on to other things.

I get that they put 7 years of their lives into making the mod, but some things aren't worth trying to fight for.

Hating New Vegas in lieu of 3 has been a more and more popular take with some of the large brain individuals who still mod a game they vehemently dislike, the TTW discord has some and in general it seems like anyone still making content outside of engine fixes or tweaks has some major contempt towards the normie mod users who consume their mods

However, what I and many other mod user try to do is find a balance. Such as making patches, or politely telling the user that the mod is unfortunately not compatible with every mod and that they are going to have to pick and choose.
With the hatred of New Vegas and loving 3 more, I think that it has to do with the fact that 3 was their first Fallout game. It is the same with Elder Scrolls in that many of these peoples first Elder Scrolls game was Skyrim despite Morrowind being the superior Elder Scrolls game in terms of quests, writing and lore. The only reason they mod New Vegas is because New Vegas is easier to mod for than 3 as they did a lot of updates to the GECK for modders while 3 is quite rough to mod for.
